- This video walks through the process to remove the rear hub / drum on your Ford Model A, and remove the inner rear hub bearings for inspection and maintenance. This is a good project if you have never done this, or have not inspected your rear bearings in a long time. The rear axle grease fittings over time may not deliver grease properly to your rear bearings due to wear and deterioration.

Thanks for the video! I am learning as much as I can before purchasing my own model A.
By the time I get one I should be much more comfortable with routine and periodic maintenance thanks to guys like you.
Thank you for your help. I did not know Vintage Precision had the hub puller. I purchased the Thermostat housing from them previously.
I had no difficulty getting my hubs off without a puller .
I recently did my rear brakes and there was no issues on my car removing the rear hubs. I just pulled on them with my hands. No puller required.
Well done! But, my biggest question is: how do you reinstall the new seal without damaging it? Will there be a "part 2" where you put everthing back together?
Hello- there is actually another TH-cam video showing how to install the new seal without damaging it. You do need a special tool. I don't have the details of the other video but poke around a bit you should be able to locate it.
Waiting for you to drop it on your toe
