Guys here's what worked for me.
(make sure you updated to the latest os version)
1-(most important) In your g4 there is a setting to disable wifi scanning. It seems to be in different locations based on the carrier. This NEEDS to be disabled. NOTE: turning off wifi in itself doesn't correct this, and your phone will have this, (mine wasn't in advanced wifi settings)
2-Disable bluetooth
3-Disable vibrations
4-In apps, click play services and then disable and then re-enable it (it will auto reinstall)
5-In location, disable it
6-In accounts & sync, disable it
7-In QuickCirlce case, disable it
8-In apps, select google play services, select permissions, and disable them all, or what you don't need
9-In apps you can disable a ton of apps that comes prepackaged. There's a list of which ones that are safe to disable out there, google it
10-Go through the settings in your phone 1 by 1 and disable anything that you don't use/need
11-turn down your screens brightness
I did all this and it fixed slow charging and battery drain problems. Before the battery was ticking down like a timer when the screen was on and active it would die in about an hour, and now with the same circumstances after doing the steps above it's averaging 11minutes per battery % tick = 18hours. Thats a 1700% battery life increase! (like this if it helped so others will see it.)

You can go into the application manager and change settings for individual apps to restrict background data which is what I do for apps like the ones you're talking about that you only use every once in a while or you don't really want/need the processes to be running in the background. The battery life on this phone is killing me! Thanks for the tips!

I'm thinking of getting this phone .. From reviews I think its the best but my biggest concern is the battery as everyone complains about it but I don't actually want the best battery .. Would it continue through the day with my mobile data on and about 60% brightness and about 4-5 hours screen on time? Or how long would it last with mobile data and 60% brightness? Thanks.
you can also go to location and on Wi-Fi check it to be on power saver and saves quite a lot of juice when not using the actual gps😉

thanks for your video!! I've had my G4 for about 8 months.for the past couple of weeks my phone's battery does not last but maybe two or three hours. it could be fully charged when I go to bed at night the next morning it's like at 20% because there was a little moisture on the battery they won't do a factory Exchange can you help me out please the day about this phone I spend all kinds of money on protectors screensavers. so I didn't do anything to this phone. you have any suggestions I would appreciate it. thanks again for your video you have a good day
Sounds like a wakelock issue, Easiest solution would be factory reset.

can you tell us what sync exactly do! is my app like fb will stop sync? mail etc...

sync is command to refresh you fb mail etc.... but if you turn it off you have to manually refresh tour email to get the new incoming mail. but it will not affect chatting like fb chat, BBM , WhatsApp, Line etc. but you will have to refresh your gmail to getand cloud storage if you enable auto back up. hence by turning it off you will safe more battery.

I'm still buying extra batteries until you can charge 100% in 5 minutes
just buy a new battery and replace when you need, that is my best advice for all g4 users. - peace
