  • I decided to replace the headband on my trusty old Sennheiser HD598s because I found the original replacement part online.
    This includes disassembly, ear pad replacement, and some sweet sweet soldering to repair my Sennheiser HD598 essentially back to new.
    This will also work for the HD599 or most of the rest of the HD5xx series, as they're all very similar in how they are constructed and wired.

      I bought them from Audio Sanctuary (it's a UK store but they shipped to the US). I don't see the part listed there anymore, but the part number is 542185.

      I would like to know too. I’ve got the HD598CS and the outside of the cup is made of velour so it got worn out after 6 years of owning the pair

    I just got a used pair and while I don't need a full new headband, I would love a replacement leather piece for the top (not the cushion). Is there an option for that anywhere?

    Perhaps you could change the wire for the more thicker.

    You can prob. just open those little screws and put the wire inside of new whatever. headband is so last season, i put them. on my summer hat.

    You have a lot of hardware. For us mortals impossible to do this.

    • @Lucktronics
      @Lucktronics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do it with a cheap soldering iron as well.
