      I have to attend conference in usa in October 2023.
      I am planning to apply B1 visa from Malaysia.
      So portal for booking interview is same as given in alink or it would be different for Malaysia.
      Is it ok to apply from Malaysia?

    My experience for b1/b2 visa for family in chennai,nov23. first time. no previous foreign travel.
    only one question asked...no fuss at all. approved in under two minutes...they don't bother or care about your documents, because they know it could be forged or false. maihly they look at your confidence.

    it is asking for both SEVIS Number and Exchange Visitor Number for F1 student visa. both fields are mandatory. I'm wondering where i get Exchange Visitor Number. please help.

      The form will ask for your sevis id which starts from N00....
      And the other one that is exchange visitor number the one which starts with CCC.... it will there in your sevis fees receipt....

    Hi Shachi, Thank for the informative video. Can you please make one video on how to add parents or siblings under our account for their B2 visa in new CGI portal. This would be very helpful for so many people like me who are looking for this information and confused.
    I am on H1B visa, and today when I logged into new CGI portal, and click on continue application, I saw my mother's info there which seems correct because I have started new application for her to apply for B2 visa, but when I go to Manage dependent Screen, I saw an application for my father and sister both which I have created in old CGI portal to add them into an existing application so that they get same day interview. However, when I click on Add or Remove Button nothing happens due to which I am unable to proceed further. Please advice.

    Hi Shachi.. thanks a lot for the video, this is good information. I have a question, hope that you can clarify. How to recover the account if instead of migrating the profile to new portal by selecting "sign up", I accidentally hit forget password using the same email ID. I was able to reset the password successfully but haven't set any security questions due to which I'm unable to login.

    Hi Shachi, do I need to submit DS-160 form before booking an appointment ? What I mean is, I am planning to travel in Jan-Feb 2024 and wanted to book the appointment slot but DS-160 validity is only 30 days after submission, so I thought I will only submit the form when I am closer to that date. That is what I have heard people doing it. Can I still do this or any other way to manage this ?

      you can submit it later as well. validity is for 30 days every time you log in. so just need to keep the form active

    Hi Shachi. Thank you for the informative video. I am in the same boat as a few others wherein I need to update my DS-160 ID on my profile but the new portal does not have an option to allow that. What is the best way to reach out to the customer care team of this new portal? I wasn't able to find any phone numbers that I could call them on. The only option I saw was 'Feedback/Requests' on the portal and that just gives one the ability to open a ticket, without any way to directly interact with a LIVE person.

    A big thank you to you. The instructions on the new website says "do not recreate your account instead use the forgot password option". And I have been doing that 4 different attempts and sending emails to the contact center and calling their customer support. There was no proper reply to it. Now when I saw your video it was very clear and now I am able to login. Thanks a bunch. Wish the US consulate was a bit more clear on their instructions

    Different is not always better. Pathetic experience. Not able to book the appointment. The system has been broken for the last 2 days now. The support team is not answering the tickets! Till the fee payment system works like a charm!

      It's fcukd up new system.
      Old was much smoother better reliable.
      System is down since 27july.
      They stopped accepting MRV fee payment since July 24th with notes.
      N page is down since then it's frustrating.

      Hello, I did it via the 'Citibank Cash' option. A bank receipt would be generated and then payment can be made at Citibank or Axis bank branches.

    After filling out the application for both of my in-laws, making the payment using given payment code and activating the payment on this new site, option to schedule appointment disappeared. One of the dependent in the application was also disappeared and when I try to add her back, it says that user already exist. At this point current application is completely messed up. I see that site has "Close Application and Start New Application" option. Can I use that option to start over the application without needing to pay again i.e. Can I start a fresh application with the same account without needing to pay again? I have been stuck in this issue for more than 45 days and have sent multiple feedback requests through site and their contact email but no avail. Please let me know if anyone has experienced such issue and know how to fix it.

    Hello Shachi. Thanks for this update. As yesterday (17th Sep)we have experienced this. So after watching this video we have created another DS-160 as we did face issues to retrieve the copy ( as we didn’t take print out of old DS -160 and hence had to create new DS-160 ). And we did this yesterday only and taken a print out on the day of Biometric appointment. And at the biometric appointment we requested the person over there ( Mumbai VAC) and he helped this to change / update new DS - 160 no at portal. And today we had an interview appointment and we did fairly good in this. Hopefully we will get the visa. But thanks for your videos where we got the tip about the updating DS-160 again.

    Hi Sachi, I've have been able to login to the new portal and can see my scheduled VISA interview (Group Visa) details and payment. However, I don't see all the options on the Left Menu. I can see only one option on my Left Menu which is "Information Correction". Could you please let me know what is wrong in my case. I have biometric scheduled on 22nd October and interview on 3rd November.

      You have to keep tracking continously. There are no appointment dates available so you will have to keep constantly tracking to see if there's any opening.

    Thanks. For rescheduling an appointment, can I see options for available slots. Or does it cancel my original appointment and then show me the options for available slots? There is a button for Reschedule on the usvisascheduling website but not sure about it. I dont want to risk my existing appointment before confirming that there are other slots available to reschedule. Can you please provide information related to rescheduling a visa appointment.     Hello Sachi ji, my wife and myself have submitted application through usvisascheduling portal. Our date of biometric is 9th June and interview at US embassy Delhi on 27th June. We opted for premium delivery at our existing address. However we would be changing house in June. How to change Premium delivery option to Pick up on Delhi. Kindly guide me as we are senior citizens and not very tech savvy. Will be grateful to you

    How is the passport now tracked? Don't see any options..on the prior website there was an automated e-mail or you could login to the website and review the tracking.
