    My son is 8 and by watching this video I see why he admires and looks up to you so much! You are a perfect example of dedication and humbleness! Good luck on your race in St. George! You will crush it!

    Thanks for sharing your training, and we love when you share lactate/interval pace etc. It is so deserved that you guys get so good results from all the hours.

    Thanks for sharing Blu, love the videos. I remember seeing that run session on strava and thinking it was one of the craziest sessions ive seen, then the next day Gustav did a similar run but straight off a monster 6 hour ride in the mountains. These guys are fucking crazy thats for sure 😂

    Kristian, according 6:29: If you use „Trackmode“ instead of „Running Mode“ of your Watch, you can (ex. most of the Garmin Forrunners Series support it) choose the Lane you are running on and your pace will be super accurate.
    In general i use always this mode, when running on a track. The deviation is huge (up to 5-10s per km slower in track mode, but correct).
    Really cheering for you, for the Championships in St. George.
    Go get that victory 💪🏻💪🏻🚀

    World trotter. He got the Olympic gold in Tokyo. He smashed the competition in Edmonton, Canada for the short course World Championship. He crashed in Cozumel the IM course time. Now at St George US, he will have the chance to become IM World Champion.

    Thanks for all these videos, it's really great to get some insight into your training process and mindset! Love the idea that "the day starts the night before with some good rest". I'd be interested in learning more about how you approach your diet / nutrition for racing, as it's something i don't spend too much time thinking about (aside from trying to eat healthy).

    how much of the altitude benefits will remain with you 3 weeks later. I would have thought finish your altitude training 10 days out and then taper

    • @kristian.blummenfelt
      @kristian.blummenfelt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depends on the training. But also the quality in training can be higher the final three weeks because of the altitude, so that’s another benefit

    Great video. I have a question: what was it that Kristian was measuring during the run, was it lactic acid level? Sorry if it is an obvious thing and thanks in advance.

    • @sparta5589
      @sparta5589 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Lactate is a byproducts of glycolysis, the very best athletes like CB have the celular ability to clear it off the cell and re use it as energy in order to keep ATP (energy) production high, this is the very best way to train for endurance. Few people understand the level these guys are, the average Joe is close to 3 mmol/L just after going to get their mail.
