    The question is not just about tapping into the solid mineral resource but the main bone of contention is how to ensure that average Nigerian citizen feels the effects of this new line of revenue in their daily lives. In other words, ensuring the money made does not end up in the pockets of corrupt politicians and/or individuals of status.
    Question: What is the government planning to do with the newfound wealth and how is it engaging the citizens on the factors that would determine the success of effective usage of these new revenue generating dispositions???

    Thank you minister for that one on the DNA of Nigerians.
    One solution is to rewrite our civic studies curriculum to capture most and all salient behavior issues in our society and start teaching them to kids right from nursery school age. I saw a kindergarten civic education note of a preK in the US and they were being taught the different definitions of Integrity. One definition says that integrity means to see something and say something. Another one says that Integrity doesn’t mean being your brother’s keeper when the brother is committing crime. Can we pass this up to the ministry of orientation?

  • @Obetv01
    @Obetv01 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    Stopping illegal mining is not on its own a solution. You must find a structure for legitimising viable mining operations. Especially if the govt itself has zero capacity to explore such mining itself. A bit like the refining of petroleum. For a country that imports refined fuel at great cost, it could do worse than bring illegal refining online to become part of a legal producing economy. The solution to every problem is not always a hammer.

    He talks good politics, but good politics doesn’t get resorts it is and has always been men who stands up against unrighteousness men of action not men of process this is why Africa needs more leaders like Ibrahim A man of action Mr. Presidents of the continent of Africa become a man of actions not a man of process. Because the people of suffering , why is the government is not creating jobs like mining all the minerals Nigeria have and do all the refining and processing of the resources this can along creates over hundreds of thousands of jobs for the young men and women after they are properly trained it sad to see our people suffering on the continent when there governments can do something about it, I get it nothing never change over night but at least when you have a strong righteous leader that Start initiating action then only then you will see change because we can talk until we are blue and that will get us nowhere but at the same point that we start if we don’t apply Action! I am just a concern human beings that hate to see his people suffering.

    For a Minister like this you take four good journalist to interview him.
    One the minister is a politician
    He was able to sweet talk you with good English and you were buying shaking your head.
    2) the incident in Ibadan.
    If you follow the case very well
    They have report the miner to police several times but the police usually give the miner and his boys escort.
    The minister is not well informed on that case.
    3) APC has being in government for 8years , He stop saying what he saying. It is not new
    4) they should encourage indigenous miners and link port to industrial mine site.
    5) before oil we have Tin and iron and others that was mine in Jos , Gold in Is in state and others.
    The interviewer should read well on solid minerals and mines before engaging a politician like him.
    Minister is good in English that is all
