Thanks Fidet Okhiria for the information. I believe in order for the NRC to be most effective, the leadership of the team would need a paradigm shift in the process of railway development as Nigeria is experiencing an unprecedented awareness of the railway development across the country. Fresh minds should be incorporated into the system to bring in new ideas and foster effective mobilization of passengers and cargoes.
The railway system has come to stay. It’s only necessary that we adopt the necessary protocols and techniques to ensure a proper modern rail network system.
If the Lagos state government can boast of an electrified rail network (Lagos blue line), the NRC can achieve that in any part of the country.
It only gets better.

The bottomline is Nigeria is not a serious country,leadership and people that worship cars above all else.Senators get in power,the first thing they did is to buy themselves foreign suvs.Approved billions for NASS renovation instead of building rail and national infrastructures.When it comes to infrastructions they start looking to borrow yet budget billions for cars that depreciate faster than a loaf of bread..Instead of building infrastrutures that can generate all the money they would ever need for cars first.The money nigerian government have wasted on foreign vehicles in the last eight year alone is probably enough to construct costal rail and Itakpe to Abuja.Tinubu wife just donated 100 thousand dollars for a clinic in sierra leone yet people are starving in her country.That money is enough to build a few kilometer of rail..Not until Nigeria start rounding up this brainless leaders as an example nothing will be constructed in that country.The money humanitarian ministry is looted alone is enough to build the coastal rail.Why is building a national infrastructures not seen as humanitarian in nature?You don't have to give people money to alleviate poverty,infrastructural development is another form of poverty and hardship alleviation.There is no system or agency or even court that question these people in government,they just do what they feel like with our commonwealth..
