I totally agree about Quinn and Christine Hill. The sex is totally superfluous and gratuitous. I have a tiny theory about it. Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter married after the filming of season 3 and maybe now the writers weren't comfortable having Dexter and Rita be intimate so they replaced it with Quinn, but I generally have to fast forward through those scenes, yuck! MCH and JC separated during the filming of 5 and divorced at the end of 6. But, the significant event during the filming of season 4 is that MCH discovers he has cancer, Non Hodgkins lymphoma around about the filming of episode 9. You begin to see that he looks sick. He was successfully treated after they wrapped 4 and wore a wig during season 5. Many rumors on why they split (Cancer history throughout his family and he decided he wouldn't have kids because of that and she wanted kids, the main one) but worked together through the whole series. And remain friends today, even though both are happily married to someone else. She has a little boy.
Rita is so damn annoying this season. 😂
Yes. I hated her so damn much in this season.
She was always annoying. At first she was a convenient plot device for Dexter's asexuality. And even garnering sympathy for her backstory, and despite being very attractive, she always represented future monotonous domestic drudgery for Dexter. Partly why Lila was so appealing.
i know lot of people are annoyed by *Quinn* & *Christine Hill* sex scenes
Trust me it all makes sense in the last episode, have patience 👀👀
i know some people will still argue the message could've conveyed without sex scenes, you folks seem to forget this show always had the scenes, Remember Lila?

Even in coming seasons there are naked scenes, even in last 9th season there is sex scene
It's as much the performances and writing, as it is that sex scenes are involved.
