    65 year old Lambeau Field, opened during the 1950s is in far better condition than a stadium that was opened at the turn of the new millennium.

      I wish they would build higher capacity facilities. Helps keep ticket prices down. Ive been to every stadium except sofi. Donr really have an issue with them. Also, dont agree with tax money paying for these stadiums.

    The pipes leaking septic water on fans during a game is the perfect symbol for Dan Snyder and FedEx Field

    • @Aaron_R
      @Aaron_R หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you mean sewer water. Septic tanks are buried underground and release waste water into the ground near a house or into a tank for a truck to come pump it out. An NFL stadium probably could never be served by a septic system.

    The worst part is there's absolutely nothing to do there outside the stadium. There's isn't a restaurant/bar, no mall, no Riverwalk. There's only a big church and a parking lot.
    When watching a WSH home games, TV stations like to show lives scenes of Washington DC like the White House, Capitol, or Lincoln Memorial, however Landover, MD isn't even close. It's like at least 15-20 miles away

    There was no way they could have gotten a new stadium without the ownership change. The mayor of DC said that she would not work with the team until they changed the name and changed the owner. I assume Maryland and Virginia were similar.

  • @EmmanuelConstant747

    If they were smart - They would have removed all the obstructed view seats instead of the upper deck seats. At least that way it would have instantly been turned into a venue without a bad seat in the house. That alone could have gotten results in improving the crowd attendance.

    I was there on Labor Day 2011 for the Kickoff Classic between Boise St and Virginia Tech. Attendance was said to be about 87,000 and there were many upper deck seats available. Problem is getting to the upper deck! Have one escalator and one elevator! You have to walk a long way to get up there. Terrible!

  • @sethlivingstone1999

    I went to a game there in 2010 when the capacity was 91k and it was freaking electric. It’s just sad that with the changing times, bad on field product and bad ownership of course, that this stadium will never get better. Even if they sold it out every week, it’s still a cookie cutter, much older version of what it used to be. Same could be said for the franchise as a whole after the name change.

    As a Premier League fan in addition to the NFL, I find it shocking that the Premier League decided to hold a couple of preseason Summer Series matches at FedEx Field this past summer considering how bad this stadium is. However those two preseason matches were sold out within minutes of tickets going on sale which in itself is remarkable & shows how popular the Premier League has become in the US in recent years.

    JerryWorld is worse than this and MetLife, especially for the players. You'll probably say it's better because of the open areas behind the end zones, but that's WHAT makes it worse because Jerry had the place built with the field running east-west with the glass doors and windows, so in the afternoons the sun creates a terrible glare where the players literally cannot see on the field. What's worse is they WILL black out those windows when there's a concert or other event there but continuously refuse to do so for the games.

    • @EmmanuelConstant747
      @EmmanuelConstant747 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I Totally Agree !!! I've been saying MetLife is better than AT&T for a long time. MetLife Stadium has all the right aspects that make it among the best in the league.
      Top Level Success, Fan Comfort, Amenities, Tailgating and Solar Energy. Those are 5 solid credentials that qualifies MetLife Stadium as a Top 10 Stadium wether anyone likes the design of the building or not. There are reasons why it beat out SoFi Stadium for the rights to host the 2026 World Cup Finals.
      Stadiums should be judged by its reputation for Success, Not by building design.

    Jack Kent Cooke wanted his own stadium, since RFK is owned by DC.
    FedEx was a cheap build since the land in Landover is just the boonies of PG County.

    Did the (at-that-time) Redskins lose any fans after the NFL returned to Baltimore (40 miles away)? The Ravens have won two Super Bowls since any DC NFL team (by whatever name) won any. After the Raiders fled to LA, the 49ers won four Super Bowls. Their first SB win was the last season the Raiders were in Oakland before moving southward (1981 Regular Season).
    Since the Raiders left Oakland the first time, they've developed many fan bases outside the SF Bay Area. Translation: great NATIONAL following, but the 49ers took control of the "bay." Heck, the Raiders are probably more popular today in LA than the Chargers.

    • @DDDiego
      @DDDiego 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Even though the Rams won the Super Bowl two years ago, their home games are STILL raided by away fans. Gonna take more and more years of winning and a developing fanbase to sway more fans to come to games. LA has a lot of transplant fans due to the 20 year period of no teams so they just pick who they like or where they may have originally grown up. Football isn’t even the number one sport either so it’ll be hard to draw interest. Chargers are gonna take even longer to get the city to root for them since they didn’t really have much history in LA besides the 1960 season. Both owners of these teams are just focusing on the younger generation for the long term. Winning consistently will help these teams grow since LA has a strong knack for championship teams
