Again you've saved my life and my marriage 💑
My husband , after I went to bed, he listened to my request not to cook his pizza in my oven (we have two kitchens) he's an atheist. I'm a Ger. I don't keep perfect kosher but I don't allow pork in my kitchen. When I got up this morning surely he made his pizza, in the "dirty" kitchen. But he brought it up to my kitchen to cut it and eat it. There was mess everywhere. I was ready to lock him in the basement. I sat down and listened to your talk. I know he didn't do it because he hates me. He's just nor conscious of how important it is to me to keep my kitchen clean. I didn't want that negative reaction. After listening to your lecture I unlocked the basement door. He's still in bed. I'm going to gently remind him that the reason I asked him to cook his pizza downstairs was because I don't want pork even in my kitchen. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. I know he loves me I just don't think he understands how important keeping unkosher food out of my kitchen is...how could he? It's not important to him. This morning I thought he was doing it to spite me. I've recreated that love narrative. I have to have humility here. Thank you so much for another great talk. I love listening to you. I never listened to a Rabbi before but I have to say that the story you tell here does make a lot of sense to me. One question comes up that I don't understand, where does the hate against Jews come from?
Hiya, just in case the Rabbi doesn't answer your question, i will try to shed some light:- The nations have a subliminal hate towards the Jews when the Jews are not performing their role in the world:- being a Light unto the nations, loving each other and being an example, helping the nations to come close to The Creator of Everything, then G-d's House will be a House for all Nations. Until then, there will be suffering in the world. It's not something the nations teach each other, but it's something The Creator implanted into the heart of the nations, so we push the Jews to do their job. That is why they are the chosen "first born", to help the younger ones, they are supposed to be "a nation of priests".

@apple... You say HaShem "doesn't seem to understand" you. How can this be? Truely, how can that actually be? How about this:- maybe you are asking your Father in Heaven to give you a drawing-pin so you can scratch your itchy eye with it, so of course He is not going to give you something that will be detrimental for you, why, because He loves you, and only wants the absolute best for you. Maybe you don't know as much as HaShem, after all we are mere motals with a limited 2 kilobytes of ram memory, HaShem is Unlimited to the power (maths) of Infinity. Maybe you could ask the Creator to give you what He thinks is best for you, in this moment of your life, and not what you think is best for yourself. ♡
