I found NCT in the middle of COVID first lockdown and honestly I didn’t think I would remember all of there name but 1 to 2 months latter I remembered all of there name idk how because sometime I forget my brothers birthday and it’s two days after Christmas but I can remember 23 names like how does that make any sense. It was hard learning all of there names but I got there in the end.
And here i am who learned all their names with faces in 2 days🌚

I got them down in like 4 days, mainly because since there's so many of them, you can certainly remember a good half until you come across members that look like one a other. I knew Mark and Johnny just because of how iconic they are before hand, but I had a really hard time telling Ten and Doyoung, and Winwin and Yuta apart
@@zuzu6864 the hardest for we was renjun and jaemin Cuz to me they look alike to me and still somethingnow I fine it hard.Johnny,mark and ten where the ones I learned first I always go for the English names first cuz it’s easier. There is also xiaojun and chenle which I had a hard time pronouncing I know how to say xiaojuns name but still having trouble saying chenle’s name.

at 18:42 it's a series called awsaz (awkward but it's ok) where they get two members who aren't really close and try to make them break the ice ig, the catch is that there are two other members bts who tell them what to do and often make things even more awkward

14:48 there they had to gess what the Indonesian word "cumi" would mean and there's also in the song "Kokobop" by EXO an intro with "Shimmie shimmie Kokobop I think I like it" and Xiaojun just randomly started singing this part cause "cumi" and "Shimmie" sounds similar
Stray Kids and NCT are my favorite Kpop groups, so I'm actually really excited that you're checking out NCT as well. NCT has 23 members rn but multiple sub-units so I think it's easier to get into them unit by unit.
Any name with "jun" in it is pronounced like the month of june. For Xiaojun, the "x" is pronounced a bit like "sh". As for Chenle... poor boy, the amount of times this boys name has been butchered by people, the "e" in his name, both in "chen" and "le" are pronounced kind of like when we say the sound "uh". I hope this sort of help for most of the Chinese names!
NCT is a big group but has so many great and funny personalities, not to mention the talent. I hope you enjoy the roller coster which is that of learning about the members!
Jun is pronounced more like a quick "juin" or "jwin" in the Chinese members' names
@@PK-ts8iz ya the sound kinda has nothing comparable in english. There is no "i" sound in the jun but it is a dry sound i guess we could say, the u sound isn't dragged on. Because of the tone used it will sound a bit different.
I didn't want to mix him up by making him think it was said with an "i" because its not. Otherwise the pinyin of his name would have an I in it. Saying its pronounced like june was the less messy way to explain it some people have a tendency of over pronouncing every letter. It could have turned out like "juain" or "jueen" with english pronounciation.

i think probably this is not the best video to start with nct. their group system is a bit different and mostly they do lots of inside jokes or references to their songs and other SM (their company) groups songs . the best way to start is by guides per units.
NCT is formed by 23 members divided in different subunits: nct 127, nct dream, wayv. so it'll be easier for you to start knowing them in small groups just like starting with one of those.
At 12:02 the member name is Ten(from Thailand and can speak multiple languages I think 4) also he said “WayV babies” to refer to his main unit that he is part of in NCT. Therefore he refers to his WayV members. Hopefully this helps 👍🏼 also just something to let know you know is that it took me like 1 weeks to learn and memorize all 22 members

There's two things that are special about NCT's composition, the fact that there is 23 members (and possibly more, this is a group where every year more members are added) and that 13 out of those 23 are foreigners (non-koreans). There is Mark from Canada, Johnny from USA, Ten from Thailand, Lucas from Hong Kong, Yangyang from Taiwan, Hendery from Macau, Yuta and Shotaro from Japan and Kun, Xiaojun, Winwin, Renjun and Chenle from Mainland China. The other 10 are all Korean, this includes Taeyong, Taeil, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Haechan, Jaemin, Jeno, Sungchan and Jisung. Their age range is of ppl born between 1994 and 2002.

If you'd love to watch some good guides of NCT, here are the recommendations..
• A Guide to NCT [2020] by CLKX Fiction: It consists of 3 videos that explain NCT Unit (15mins), The Hyung (older member) Line (30mins), and The Maknae (younger member) Line (30 mins).
• For WayV specific guide (NCT China Unit), you can watch the one made by Lao Gan Ma.
For any fanmade fun/compilation videos of NCT, you can check those made by Neo Chaotic. They made neat videos with subtitles and summary/context of every scene shown in the videos. Really helpful.
Also just a little background NCT to this date is 23 members. Taeyong is the leader! There are four units under NCT which is
NCT 127 w/ Taeyong, Johnny, Mark, Taeil, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Heachan, and Yuta
NCT DREAM w/ Mark, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, Haechan, Renjun, and Jisung (all young members in NCT before Sungchan and Shotaro came along in the NCT 2020 album)
WayV w/ Ten, YangYang, Hendrey, Kun, Xiaojun, Winwin,and Lucas ( a mix between Chinese and Thailand members)
Last but not least is NCT U unit that can be any member from any unit in a group to do a song that the company thinks best suits them in.
BTW, Korean surnames like most East Asian ones are in front of given names, so Moon Tae-il is Tae-il not Moon lol.
Sometimes when mentioning their names, their surnames may be put after like a Western one (e.g. Tae-Yong Lee) to prevent any confusion.
I just wanna put this out there: in Korea its normal to ask people for their blood types and to know other peoples blood types cuz in korea many people believe that blood types can tell you a lot about someone’s personality! The concept is sort of like zodiac signs or MBTI. Zodiacs aren’t as popular in Korea so in korea people often just talk about their MBTI and blood type when they are talking about their personality.

23 men and it can still grow. In early 2020 there where still 21 members the entertainment added two more so now they are 23. If I’m correct in the nct 2021 comeback there will be another member joining or two but I’m not sure.

You know, being a multistan is totally fine (although it can be quite overwhelming).
I stan BTS, Stray Kids and NCT and even more groups like Day6, Got7, KARD, Monsta X. On top of that, I also keep up with The Rose, Dreamcatcher, EXO, (G)I-DLE, Ateez, Seventeen and the khiphop community. You get used to it. And there is no need to pick a bias. My ult group might be SKZ (stray kids), but I listen to a lot more DC (dreamcatcher), monsta x and day6 these days.

Okay. This is just for anyone's knowledge about NCT (kinda)
NCT has 4 units such as NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM and WayV.
NCT 127 is the unit with most members. For an easy explanation, I would say it's a group of the hyungs (hyungs means the older brothers).
NCT DREAM is the unit of dongsaengs (dongsaengs means the younger brothers) and the oldest member of NCT DREAM is Mark (he's in all units except WayV), born in 1999 and the youngest is Jisung, born in 2002. Also, it was an unlimited member unit for young ones before but now it's a fixed 7 member unit.
NCT U has unlimited number of members. It's a unit where the producers or maybe the songwriters etc. Choose members who fits the songs concept then the chosen ones will promote it.
WayV is a china-based unit. It promotes mostly in china and just a little bit in Korea. Some people say they are not a part of NCT anymore because they have a different name and a place to promote but no, they're still part of NCT.
NCT (the whole NCT, 23 members) just dropped a new album y'all should check it out. But the two members are currently not there because the other one where still in hiatus while the other one has a project alone in china(filming a drama)

I think you’re going about this wrong. Getting into new groups can be hard even for people who already like Kpop already and Stan other groups. And Nct would have to be the hardest group to try and understand. Basing an opinion of a group on,y on a video like this wouldn’t be how I would personally do it because there are so many different aspects to Kpop groups. Firstly for nct I would do a guide so you actually know some basics and then maybe focus sub unit by sub unit. Nct has a total of 4 current sub units which is basically where the member have split off into their set groups and where they do most of their projects. Nct U was the first group and it changes depending on the song, so each song by nct U will have a different set of members and are never the same, but they don’t go on tour ect…… secondly nct 127 is the more what i would call internationally known group, they have a set number of members and like ordinary groups they just make music, tour and promote. Nct Dream was known as the under 20 group which consisted of all the under 20 members from back in 2016, they were set to split apart slowly as each member reached the age of 20, but after Mark left back in 2018 they decided to bring him back last year during Nct 2020 and now they are a set unit. Also Mark and Haechan are in nct 127 and Dream. Then there is wayV which is known as the Chinese sub unit and only debuted in 2019 which introduced 3 new members to nct and are made up of all Chinese speaking member ( not all of the members who speak Chinese just all the members can speak Chinese). Then in 2020 they had a massive comeback called nct 2020 where they introduced 2 new members bringing the total members up to 23. They released mainly nct u songs that differed from member to member, but each sub unit also had a song just for them as well. So I would watch music, get to know them with more than just the one video cause it’s a lot. It’s also not for everyone and can be quite overwhelming. Also with these videos they are more directed towards fans who know them and have already watched the full videos the clips come from.

NCT is a Kpop group with 4 different sub units: WayV, NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT dream.
NCT dream has the youngest members the members don't usually change.
NCT 127's members don't change.
NCT U's members rotate so the members are always changing, (members from all subunits).
WayV is the Chinese subunit I think.
