    I am a new pipe smoker, and you are a life saver. My depression and anxiety were getting the best of me. Thanks to your pipes and the nice prices and nice smoke, I am able to manage my symptoms and enjoy a good smoke. I just wish I could afford to get more pipes! I'm on disability right now. Thank God for Missouri Meerschaum!

      @@chickenzzzzzzzzz The stress from the pandemic made me reach for my pipes again, while not the best thing for ones health I can clearly tell that my sense of smell and taste are intact and having a pipe at home has given me a time where I can just obtain a little mental clarity. It probably helps that my pipe is paired with a caffeinated beverage being either coffee or with more mellow blends a cup of tea.

    I’m a US Navy sailor, and I first got into pipe smoking during my first tour, when I was on a minesweeper stationed out of San Diego. A friend of mine on the ship who was from Kentucky got me into it and taught me how to smoke a pipe. There is a pipe/cigar/ tobacco shop in old town, San Diego, that carries Missouri meerschaums, and being a farm kid from Kansas myself, I was intrigued and bought one of their simple, straight stem corn cob pipes and I’ve been hooked ever since. I own a fancy Italian pipe and a Peterson as well, but I’ve got 3 Missouri meerschaums and they are my go-to’s every time. I still have my first one and it’s one of my prize possessions. Simplicity is often times best, and you should see the faces of the guys who would come to the fantail (stern, back of the ship where the smoke deck was) and smell the aromas that can only come from pipe smoke. That first pipe got lots of attention. Thanks for carrying on the tradition of corn cob pipes, I’ll forever be a loyal customer!

    I just ordered my first real (name brand) pipe, a Missouri Meerschaum "Let Freedom Ring" corncob model pipe; on this the 4th of July 2024. Acquired via TobaccoPipes' website. I also ordered about 28oz of my first pipe tobacco to enjoy in this Missouri Meerschaum pipe: 16oz Cornell & Diehl "Founding Fathers", 2oz Missouri Meerschaum "Party Line", 1.5oz Brigadier Black "Antietam", 1oz Mac Baren HH "Old Dark Fired Ready Rubbed", 3.53oz Orlik "Golden Sliced", 1.5oz Captain Black "Original", and 1oz Sutliff "Serendipity", 1oz x2 of July "mystery" blends.
    Up until now I've been buying Backwoods "Honey" cigars and cutting them up to smoke in a nameless wood gas station pipe I bought.
    My town has no Tobacconist.
    Looking forward to its arrival!

      BÜLENT ÇAĞLAR It depends really on care, how much heat you produce when smoking (can cause burnout), and how often you smoke, but I have read stories of people having cobs 20+ years and have even heard 40 in one case.

Then the day that I clean them and leave them air out I smoke 2 other pipes that day. It's a great rotation and having cobs of varying sizes is key so you can have them on the go, or at home, or on the job. Sometimes you want a long smoke, sometimes short.

      After I read your comment Sir, I would like to ask you please. Are corn cob pipes really durable? I heard that you smoke them for few times and after that you have to throw them cos they are disposables. I smoke briar pipes, they are the only available pipes in my country Tunisia.

    • @Shagadin
      @Shagadin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@monsieuranis5288 If you do not overheat it, they can be very durable. I still have the same pipe. Taking into account that I do not smoke very often I would say that they can last at least two years. Have in mind that, since corn cob pipes are very cheap, people tend to be careless when they use them. But if you clean them and smoke cool then they can last a while.

    Fantastic factory, making the best corn cob pipes on the world, never in a million years would I buy a cheap knock off crappy Chinese rip off. I’d sooner pay £20 for an original than ten rip off pipes for the same price. This Missouri factory needs to stay open so we can all benefit from the best corn cob pipes made.

    Cool video about a great American company. I wish they showed just a little more of the production process; making shanks, applying dyes like The Mizzou, Country Gent' and others have, etc. Still a great little peek into the MM company. If it wasn't for their cheap price and excellent functionality, I'm not sure I would have started piping. Thanks M.M.!

    Had a great grandmother who smoked a corncob. The problem was she would light up, go to use the outhouse, but might fall asleep and set herself on fire.

    I have the straight bit and it is real quality, will last a really long time unlike glass pipes. Great for cannabis, I use mostly skewers and a resin scraping knife to clean mine.
