Went into panic mode today my car went into limp mode, searched online and ruled out turbo issues as no oil anywhere, watched this video looked at my pipe and sure enough a massive crack in it I'm replacing Tuesday with this video on ! Many thanks !!!

For those wanting to know the OEM part number for the hose in this vid is, its LR066436, or LR024304. I am also ordering this part number for my own 2013 2.2 Diesel Evoque with exactly the same problem.

Thank you so much for your video. I’ve had the exact problem. The issue came about a year ago and went away by itself. When I delivered it to Range Rover for fiding the fault they told me it was problem with the turbo and that the turbo had to be swapped. It was gonna cost me alot and since the fault signal had dissapeared again I managed to drive it well until a week ago. I found your video on TH-cam and this time I went to local repairshop with the problem and asked them to check intercooler throttle hose like you said and they confirmed that it was long rift in it. Bought it online and changed it, the car is driving like before without any problem. Thanks alot man!

Had mine repaired yesterday and thanks to this video, my mechanic looked here first and all repaired! Bad design pipe, cut pipe coupled with stainless tube and routed away from starter good as new
    Many thanks

Thanks for this video. Mine went into restricted mode last week, pulled up the OBD error report and saw the MAF sensor code. I cleaned the sensor but came up again after a short trip. Read lots of advice online and then found this video which was helpful as it showed me everything i needed to know. Stealership has had a fortune off me over the past year, so am determined to sort this out myself and save the quoted £250 LR wanted! Robbers!

It sounds a fair price based on land rover labour rates and cost of part.
If you don't like their labour rates try an independent specialist but this not a hard job and we'll explained.

Turns out this was exactly what was wrong with mine as well, top video and very detailed. Spoke to the guy at the land rover dealership and he said he had sold 5 of these hose's in the last week, absolutely shocking! Would say if you can't get a mini socket in like I couldn't then a 7mm spanner would be helpful to have as well.

ive just replaced ours, did it all from above, used a 7 mm open/ring spanner, the large end i left the jubilee nut at the 10 oclock location, was at 1 oclock but not easy to remove, but spanner was the easiest.all done in a hour, thank you for this vid.

While I had an identical problem resulting in limp mode, your video implies thats the answer to all limp mode faults! Surely there is any number of things that can cause it? I gave you a thumbs up however.

It'takes 5 mins to check and is a common cause of restricted power but it is cheaper to check to most owners who don't have an obd computer.
That is all he is saying. Eyes are cheaper than a dealer. If it's split then needs fixing regardless if there are other faults.

  • @BoroBootBoy

For those folks that have replaced the hose themselves....... which way did you manage to get the new hose in? Fed in/down from the right side (as you look at bonnet), or left? I have had it in from the right side but took 2 of us, and had to remove it again to swap the aftermarket (cheap and nasty) jubilee clip. The OEM jubilee is the one you need, and it has to be in the same position as on the old hose.
I gave up after several hours of ripping my forearms to bits on bolts etc, so am having another bash at it shortly.

    • @ashdawson1
      @ashdawson1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Did mine today and found getting it out was alot harder than getting in. I went in from the bottom as the video suggested doing lower section first, put a little bit of lubrication on and slipped on easily. Definitely pays to get the genuine part as jubilee clips are fixed in position. I do look like I've been attacked by a cat but that was mainly done on removal. Hope this helps

I need your help to save me from unexpected expenses, my Mrs car F-Pace 2017 came up with driving restriction and now stoped working completely. After few minutes drive home, I’d like to know if this could be the same problem or anyway you could assist. Thanks in advance.

I know this might be a long shot as this is an old thread. But help! My evoque started doing exactly what you describe here, and periodically displays the restricted performance warning. Watched this, took a chance it might be this, and low and behold there was a split in the pipe! So it’s been replaced, but it’s still limping in restricted mode arghhhh. Any other tips on what to try next????
