Urjita Vaani is maushi by birth no matter what her age or how cute she looks. She has the soul of maushi

Great one, this podcast is gradually turning into one of my favourites as I love the concept of the show and Urjita & Abbas are great hosts too, the choice of guests for each of the episodes so far has been pretty on point as well. One suggestion: The channel could upload a community post a couple of days before the episode drops letting the viewers know of which film is going to be talked about so that the folks who are interested in or fans of the particular film could re-watch it if they have the time before viewing the episode, will probably make the podcast more fun for them. Great work guys 👌❤️

Thanks Siddharth, community post is a good idea. We'll be making a post about which films are going to be covered in the future. Thank you.

How could they not mention Gerard Hooper and Mazhar Kamran's cinematography, Bhanodaya and Apurva Asrani's edition, Mumbai City as the backdrop, live locations or ponder more on Sandeep Chowta's haunting score. These were one of the more pivotal aspects that made Satya a classic cult film.

30:34 RGV even called out Mani Ratnam for Roja by correctly labelling it as a jingoistic movie.

Also have you ever noticed Satya is basically a remake of Antham (Drohi) … Ramu himself said that he remade Antham as Satya because Antham didn’t work out

the presentation of both is totally different though. makes it two separate films presentation wise.

Just a humble suggestion: you guys should have got Kumar Varun to discuss Satya as he is a big ram gopal Verma fan. Would love you guys discussing a RGV movie with Kumar Varun in the future.

After watching this podcast I went into this rabbit hole of finding more videos on Satya and came across this great video on the making of Satya narrated by Rajeev Masand (I guess). This also has interviews with RGV and all the cast members.

After the podcast I revisited the film again and I would say it has aged very well I can watch it after 20 years and still enjoy it. Best RGV movie 🏆

The realistic cinematography, locations were what made stya, satya. All other was icing on the cake.

She being a marathi really made the character authentic. Yes she blends in that kholiwali world so well.

Spoiler Alert ------- Dharmendra's death in "Johnny Gaddar" is an epic "what just happened" moment just like Bhiku Maatre's death! May be a bit more shocking for me at least being a big Dharmendra fan.

    Nniiccee podcast.
And good to know some trivia.
Question: which is better vaastav or Satya?

    • @sankalp786
      @sankalp786 ปีที่แล้ว

Satya is a game changer and a trend setter. While Vaastav followed a formula. You can rewatch a Satya even today and still find it relevant while you may rewatch Vaastav only for liking it back then. Satya stands the test of time because of the finesse it offers.

Read an excellent book on the making of satya.. Recommended by that chopda lady. In that rgv says he got the idea after reading a news about a guy who was arrested for being a shooter for a gang. His neighbour said ki "building me milta thha, hi hello karta thha, normal lagta thha".. So RGV thought, when the gangster isnt gangstering.. What does he do. And that was the seed of the story.
The book is bullets over bombay. An excellent read. A good account withijt being a hagiography.

Bachchon, his stable also gave entertaining sleeper hits like Darna Mana Hain/Zaroori hain, Rann, Gaayab etc.I think Shool too. These were entertaining or interesting. RGV ki Aag would have been good, had the industry not “Sushant’d” him. Bugger is a genius and Satya, his crown. It released when I started my career, one that involved travelling all over Mumbai, meeting people at their home. It just showed people in aamchi Mumbai so so well. Fkn love it. Satya I can watch anywhere, anytime. Oh! Manish Malhotra was purely for Urmila, and boy did she carry it.

The films name is सत्य but why does everyone keep pronouncing it like the South Indian or Anglo pronunciation version ? We had Ardha Satya before and everyone pronounces that like it was meant. The lead characters name is Satyaa but the films name is Satya the other side of truth.
