The guy in the phone booth "main isko dunga" one was a different one. The phone booth guy was Akshay Kumar's lawyer in Khatta Meetha, the "Nahi Main nahi maanta" scene. The tent guy was the same guy in Hulchul from whom the characters of Akshay Khanna and Arshad Warsi ask the address of Paresh Rawal's secret family in Bajrangpur. This guy specifically mentions "wo lecturer nahin hai, dance Masterni hai", but given the lack of enthusiasm of the people involved in this podcast, I guess only Urjita will get these references.
Please bring siddy back guys. This episode is too good. 2nd celerio main cng bithaya hai🤣 Stress buster episode hai yeh❤ Thanks Abbas and urjita for this podcast.
Sharmaji Namkeen, Darlings, Bahut Hua Samman, Lootcase, Kaalakandi - Recent good comedy movies. Unfortunately they are a few handful. Has it aged well has made me realize that Hindi cinema badly needs a resurgence in romcom and comedy genre.
Singh Is Kinng is a really fun movie with a killer supporting cast. It has the meme potential of movies like Welcome but it has been done dirty by their producers due to whom the movie is unavailable on any streaming service. So I'm not surprised by how Siddharth has not seen it since college while rating other comedies from that time highly. I hadn't watched the film in years until I finally found someone upload it on TH-cam.
I have watched a lot of podcasts by now Abbas you're too rigid in your approach most of the times. Urjita- I absolutely love how you put the life into this podcast. You have the funny bone, and so many refrences that you remember I have a fun time listening to you. Keep going guys
Tide washing powder Ad placement can be seen in the washing scene by Rajpal Yadav. may be that's the reason why everyone was wearing white in this movie.
Abbas, that was ye good part about it maybe. It was not preachy. What was happening was there for you to see. No monologues or speeches, found that refreshing.
I loved this episode and I happen to agree with Abbas for the most part one thing I found funny which they didn't mention was hearing Om puri who has a thick punjabi accent speaking Gujarati now I don't know if it was intentional but it was still funny nevertheless. The bit with the wrestlers was likely taken from the original film Punjabi house because Punjab is connected with wrestling which they should have changed for this film but too bad they didn't.
Punjabi house was a recordbreaking malayalam hit… all the dialogues and jokes are just translated and repeated in chup chup ke……the original malayalam writer should be given credit, not neeraj vora. Guys please do your homework coz you are giving the credit of all the dialogues you claim to love to some other writer!
I don't know who wrote that movie but the original story, when you remove the comedy.. Is a bengali lampooning marwaris in bengal.. Which has a history in bengal. Marwaris are rich by moneylending, are shylock like in taking their pound of flesh.. While bengalis are fishermen (paresh rawal) and even the new gen bengalis who are trying to do buiseness are failing (shahid kapoor)... Is the kind of statement the movie is making. . Hence the obaession wirh white The guard with a big mustache was a rajasthani I think.
I think its very insensitive to just put labels on somebody where the case is still going on. Everybody deserves equal chance to prove himself or herself not guilty. I think Indian judiciary gives that ride. Just Said.
my goodness! have seen urjita crap on genre-defining stuff by the ilks of RGV, Imtiaz, Anurag but she draws a line at chup chup ke (and SIK); the song is not long, you should hear the one in the album; the film is hilarious, if you're in the right praxis of pre-pubescence and exposure to cinema; Suni Shetty is OMG!
I had to stop the video to leave this comment. One of the questions Abbas asked earlier in the video as to why movies are no longer funny.. was answered in a way by Urjita at a later point. Product placements cringiness is directly proportional to MBAs or brand managers involved. So the very people that were trusted with the job of improving product placements ruined them.. In other words, comedians entering the writing and creative processes ruined funny movies. You guys entered this business by with your over intellectualism and over analysis and wokeness and screwed up things. Now I know lot of people will come at me, but sit back for a moment and think. All the movies that Abbas and Urjita have thoroughly enjoyed; would they have passed their own standards? All these movies were (and now I will use their language) “essentially punching down, using women as fillers at best and eye candy at worst, making fun of disabilities, marginalising, communal, stereotyping, first thought jokes, low hanging jokes” and on and on and on. So yeah, you Abbas and you Urjita ruined comedy movies. End of rant
Which Priyadarshan comedy film from the 2000's is your favourite?
Hera Pheri is an all time favourite, Hungama, and Bhagam Bhag would be close second.
Dhol
Bhool Bhulaiyaa... Glad to know Mehta will be reviewing it today... 😅😂😂
Hera pheri
I've never been compelled to go look for the extended version for the alternate ending.
Urjita watched chup chup ke in ashish chanchalani's dad's theater
OO MAAY GOD YAAR. AAAAPRECIATE THIS
28:17 to 29:42 is the best part of their discussion when they were talking about all the cult scenes of Rajpal Yadav from the movie. 😂😂
Matlab bas ek minute???

The girl in the podcast is more funny than other two comedians and also the content...

suniel shetty is underrated in comedy guys, just think maybe his delivery and face makes it funny always..

I also used to say priyadarshini for a very long time 😂😂
Heard the podcast on Monday, revisted the movie on the same day. Urjita and Siddhartha converted my opinions for sure on Chup Chup Ke.
Do Jhankaar Beats next!
@siddyshetty repeating "Priyadarshini" so many times was hilarious
also, its CHUP CHUP KE not CHHUP CHHUP KE 😅
Suniel Shetty as Mangal Singh Chauhan is the best in Chup Chup Ke👍
24:47 go goa gone "first one" Was great?? Iska sequel bhi aaya hai?
Don't remember watching this episode, let alone writing this comment.
24:18 what "priyadarshini" Did?
Since Abbas asked for good recent comedy movies- I thought Kathal was quite good!
Yes, I did see Kathal. I liked it. The performances and the premise were quite good, I wish the satire was more biting though.
Abbas, that was ye good part about it maybe. It was not preachy. What was happening was there for you to see. No monologues or speeches, found that refreshing.
@@mayurkc Biting satire doesn't imply I wanted preachy monologues. I wish the jokes were sharper.

Welcome was directed by Anees bazmee not Priyadarshan

Abbas is consistently good in all the episodes. A better co-host would make this better
Urjita is a great host! You can go find other podcasts to listen to
How is Abbas a good host? He could not guess the Dhadkan reference a straight second time and he's doing a Bollywood podcast.
Urjita is terrible she thinks songs from yaadein are in fiza and Abbas isn't great either
Urjita is impressive and funny . Her off the cuff remarks are hilarious.
