This video choked me up, I’m currently in an office job of several years and looking to train to become a paramedic. The work these people do is incredible.. Thank you for what you all do.
That call was pretty accurate... hysterical, screaming, dogs woofing,... It's hard to deal with irate hysterical people. It's also less likely to succeed when you are losing your mind. I mean, I get that it might be the worst fear coming true, but as long as there is still hope, it REALLY REALLY helps the chances of the patient or your loved one if you can stay calm (or at least fake it and keep your freaking out inside) to attempt to listen to instructions and help your loved one, friend, or bystander. I've come to learn that not everyone can keep a cool head in an emergency. Very few people actually. Which is why Paramedics and emergency nurses etc. are such phenomenal people most of the time.
Brilliant film. Brilliant people. Much love for you all from EMA's to Advanced Paramedics brilliant and heroic heroes!! This film show the unsung heroes, they'll say that they are not heroes and it's their job but in my and many others opinions you are all heroes, Emergency Medical Advisors. They are the first person you talk to when you are unwell. In this example Debbie may not remember Christina however she started the care and potentially saved a life. I think it's brilliant how the do calls such as this one and forget it and move on. Love you all. SECAMB did the baby survive??
To any one in the NHS who we constantly thank and clap for: go to Parliament on a Wednesday, the day of Prime Minister's Questions and summon a minister to central lobby and demand a decent pay rise from the Government. You thoroughly deserve it!
@@nabs3465 nabs... sorry for the delay in response. Yea it went really well my friend. I started with secamb back in July 2019 and I loved every moment of It. Its been and is challenging but worth it in everyway . The assessments are quite strict and you must put the effort in but if you do youll be supported all the way.
Nope same service. This is just a dramatised version. So what you’re seeing on screen isn’t likely what’s actually used. It’s a lot more advanced nowadays and continues to improve although does vary country to country.

If 999 calls comes in you need pick up to 111 calls same time ok
I thought they used IAED EMD for protocol purposes or is that a different service?

@@BobbyTMF gotcha 👍
@@erichawsey2700 we use proQA in new zealand. Pretty sure that’s worldwide mostly now
@Out the gate prisoner that's awesome. I've been certified With priority dispatch EMD for 25 years now. I couldn't imagine doing the job without it.
@@erichawsey2700 Aw that's great! I'm just about to qualify. Being signed off to take my first calls next week! Any advice?

I'm stressed listening to this...
Did the baby pass away? Does anyone know? Heartbreaking 😭
thats part of the ambulance service.....you don't know and you move unto the next call. That takes a whole other toll on someone.
LexCan you can you show your voice your doggies outside she does so you gotta feel cool I’ll get that for him because I want so that way I can tell people so they can get so you doing there it’s up to you next
111 and 999
Hi Melissa I not well I think I will be back tomorrow night 1992
This is a stressful job.. Believe me
All job is stressful, it's about knowing how to turn off when you've done your part.
50% quit within first 12 months...
for gods sake....doing a job that is thankless
If 999 calls comes in you need pick up to 111 calls comes in same time ok
Mm
What if it was your family member or or friend? The blue light is attending? Do not blame them!
Ambulance service is ok but once you get to A E you will wait 10hrs to see a doctor unless your situation is extremely serious
