Bilthamber surfex hd is good, imo better than TFR.
Paul I'd recommend Built Hamber Surfex HD cleaner. its safe on all surfaces and is the best APC I've ever come across. It's highly dilutable so very cost effective.
Love it when u do content with Paul he’s a proper wizard and I can watch him for hours
That sponge squeaking takes me back and the old chamois!
Way before any of us used lambswool mits and two bucket methods.
Still cringed thinking about all the scratches that sponge and chamois will have caused, but nothing that a full detail won’t sort out!

It’s amazing that something like this has been left for 25 years Parked up.
It came up surprisingly well for a first wash look forward to next updates on this one and hope the owner enjoys getting it back in the road such a special car having bought it new. It’s certainly landed at the right place to recommission it for road use again.
I still miss my moonstone 3 door more for how it looked and felt special to get in for a drive - always thought my
Sapphire 4x4 was so much better to drive day to day ( both ad over 300 bhp the 3 door was a hard work in the cold/wet).

I'd love to come down from ayrshire scotland to detail the car , but I'm sure there are more qualified detailing guys out there than me as I've just started in the last 6 months to properly detail cars . I was really enjoying watching you guys cleaning the 500 until I saw you using a sponge on the paintwork, at that point my heart sank, deep micro fiber cloths guys and two buckets. Care, Care and even more care on that original paintwork.
Always a good watch when you at Paul’s Adam.The car looks great I know they came with bumper lights and mesh. I would put the mesh in if it’s there or Paul has a set mind like most things on a cossie bet they pricey👍🏼

Thats how to wash one🙂👍👍 exact same procedure we used on stock when i worked at ford main dealer. Tfr everything- wash engine- body- rinse-sponge-rinse. Used a little plastic sheen on the engine too as they dry. Sierra's were before my time it was all mondeo, escort, fiesta, puma then focus😅

I learned to drive in a Sierra. Not the RS but still. My Dad had three of them after another. That is a great car. Drove 1000`s of KMs between Johannesburg and Durban. It will forever be my the car that was there taking me on my first steps.

Lovely motor I’d suggest shiney garage citrus oil it’s a Tfr I’ve used it many times on my channel for removing tree sap using it as a prewash

Lovely motor, more of a mk1 capri man myself but love seeing a proper cozzy my old boss had one. The turbo lag was real, but it soon gave you a wallop once it kicked in, don't get that these days with the smaller more efficient turbos.

If it's having the dents removed, then a good clay bar and machine polish will see it right in the end.

@Adam151082 like going back to stone ages mate . Even using a leather shammy lmao. Just needed some back to black at the end, a half dried up bottle of 1983 t cut and some old fashioned tyre shine slapped on with an old paint brush.

Back in the day i had over 40 3 door mk3 escorts ranging from the 1100 kent and 1100cvh to the rs turbo. I only ever had 1 rs1600i. As the years past on and the movement slowed down i ended up dismantling the lastc14 i had all of the bare shells were scrapped . Young naive now sick, but thats life😂.
On thinking im sure ive got 2 front grills.

I used to use traffic film remover on old wagon engines was incredibly good

Needs PPF when it's all done, if he wants to keep it all original it's the best option. Love the 500!😍
