No, for real though, I don’t think any fan would be upset at this reference being used if it’s done near the end of Peter wearing the black suit - at some point, he’ll just become so done and annoyed with Kraven that his rage via the Symbiote takes over. Doesn’t mean he has to kill or end Kraven then, but it’d be sick.

Man, this adds a different perspective on the church scene.
In the show, movie, and comic it’s a scene of Hope, where the bell is an aid to help Spider-Man be rid of his demons. But that only felt good because we know Pete/SM *wanted* to be free of Venom.
Here, it’s used against him as he’s in agony to keep the symbiote, and Kraven is trying to hunt him not save him. Casting a more dire look on this moment.
It’s one thing if a person wants to be rid of something, an illness, a nail, etc. and seeing the extraction pain isn’t scary because you know they’re fighting tooth and nail to get it off/out and know what they’re getting themselves into.
Forcing an extraction on the other hand is a different story. There’s resistance, and with it more pain, one that’s hard to watch. Especially if the one “extracting” isn’t doing it to heal but harm.
When has kraken ever try to save anyone 😂

Cool detail I noticed with the lizard fight is when he’s on the first phase, there is two circles on the left bottom of the health bar, and when you get to the second phase it becomes black
Interesting to tell you how many phases there are but I prefer stuff like that to be a mystery

I'm happy they are showing the health bars cause the last Spiderman games I was confused how much health do the villains have.
All you had to do was equip the extra damage with 100+ health and you could cheese the bosses in 30 seconds

1:48 One great little detail I noticed was that Peter shouted “oh crap” which isn’t really something he’d say usually pre-Symbiote. He’s a good natured guy who was raised by his kind aunt and uncle, and wouldn’t speak like that in even dire circumstances. While it isn’t really a bad word, it subtly shows the Symbiote taking over Peter in the most minute ways.
if they were allowed he 10000% would have said "Oh shit" or better yet, maybe even "Oh Fuck". I wanna hear peter say fuck so god damn bad, I need it, even a subtle "Fuck you" to miles after mentioned the effects the suit is having on him would make this game of the decade

I always think that Symbiote Spider-man's swinging on webs is more of a heavy way of swinging. as opposed to miles' swinging which is more light and springy.
Makes sense. The symbiote produces it's own webs so it would need a lot of extra weight to shed every time its host takes off. Plus, it would have to be strong enough to support whatever weight is swinging on it.

I can't wait to explore a NYC double the size, plus I heard one dev had said that web swinging is up to 2 times faster than the max speed of the first game, and with the web wings you can get to 3 times faster. I'm also stoked to completely unleash as symbiote suit Spider-Man and use the new venom powers and new gadgets

I am beyond excited for Marvel's Spider-Man 2! The returning duo of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, along with the addition of Kraven the Hunter, promises to make for an action-packed and thrilling adventure. The graphics and open-world design are absolutely stunning, it's sure to be a feast for the eyes. Insomniac has done an incredible job with the first game, and I have no doubt that they will exceed expectations with this one. The new skills and suits, including the infamous Symbiote suit, only add to the excitement. I can't wait to swing through the streets of Manhattan and save the city once again. October can't come soon enough!

Im pumped for this game, but those new Peter web swinging animations during the lizard chase seem so unnatural 😭 takes me out of it when youre in an intense chase scene with Peter being audibly aggravated and yet hes out here doing obnoxious backward poses and 180s and front flips. ik he had some stylish animations in the first game but they were nowhere near as obnoxious yk? most of them seemed like movements that he’d still naturally do even in a rush (like kicking his legs out or launching off a web with the iconic Spidey pose). if you wanted to add flips and have fun with it, it was a whole other action you had to do. once again Im still excited for the game, Im not tryna sound like a hater. this is just something that bugged me a little while watching this video 😭 its kinda like they tried too hard to give Peter new swinging animations for “new content.” but I honestly think they shouldve left it as it was. maybe just add a few more air tricks and leave it at that. if you really think about it, dudes been at it for like 7 years, I doubt his swing style is gonna change much. theyre already giving us tons of new content, I wouldnt have complained if Peter was still doing the same old iconic Spider-Man poses

The fact that there were more scenes of the symbiote on Peter than Miles cutscenes that tells me Miles is going to do something huge in this game insomniac won’t spoil. (We already figured Miles is going to be the one to save Peter)
The main reason is likely because symbiote generates the most hype though.
Miles is gonna have to begrudgingly seek Martin Li out for help, possibly even break him out of Rikers because the symbiote is taking over Peter. We know the Devil's Breath and Symbiote are kind of equal opposites so I suspect he's going to purify the symbiote into Anti-Venom

Dude… Peter seems messed UP. The man has a completely different tone of voice, going from happy go lucky, friendly neighborhood spidey to angry, and pissed. Symbiotic Pete is badass. Also the new swinging animations are sorely needed.

i just wanna know two things. Will the symbiote be able to be taken on and off outside of story cutscenes and set moments and if so did Yuri Lowenthal have to record symbioted voice lines and non symbioted voice lines for everything.
No. you can't switch with a button. It's a suit you need to choose in the menu. And when you're in the part in the story where Spider-Man has the symbiote even if you will wear a normal suit he will still sound angry and stuff until you reach the point in the story where he took it off.
You guys overstimate marvel spiderman too much, Insominiac doing linear stuff again, you can not even switch to normal spiderman

I dunno how I feel about the black good webbing. I don't recall in the comics (the original symbiote comics) his webbing being that way. He actually had normal webbing and it's why when Eddie gets the symbiote he also has normal webbing. Only the spawn that came from Venom had goo webbing. I guess just the modern versions go with this. Not a deal breaker but I always want 1 to 1 adaptations. Guess I'll never get them

About time. Most players knew that the standard to defeat a boss would be finishing the 4 kick combo at least 10 times. A combo total of at the highest 250-300 😭
