I think you are wrong with this being the only processor on the market that lets you have 8 Presets. Brax/Helix DSP has 10 you can store and 20 if you use the DIRECTOR DRC.
@@CambridgeCarAudio Using the "Director" Remote (which is the equivalent of Audison's DRC, but the Director has many more features), all of the Audiotech-Fischer Helix DSP units have up to 20 PRESETS (from the budget Helix "Mini" to the TOTL "Ultra", and ARC Audio's PSC Remote for its PS8 & PS8 PRO DSPs actually allow you to fully "tune" the DSP functions entirely from the remote w/o a separate computer. IMPO, as a user of high-end DSPs in car audio since the 1990's, I don't see a need for any more than 4-6 Presets. Preset # 1: Driver Seat Critical Listening/Competition preset. Preset # 2: Driver Seat Everyday Driving preset (boosted highs & lows tuned to overcome engine & road noise). Preset # 3: Both Front Seats Everyday Driving preset. Preset # 4: All Seats Everyday Driving preset (if the vehicle has 4 or more seats). The main adjustment you will typically want to make is the Subwoofer Level. And ALL of the DSP units with a "DRC" type remote allow you to adjust the Subwoofer Level independently, which covers any song-to-song subwoofer level preferences, no matter which Preset you have selected. IOW, you don't need to switch to a separate Preset just for "More Bass", etc. Once you've had this installed for a week or two, trust me, you're not going to be constantly switching back and forth between all of the presets, much less 8 of them. Most will tune it to just ONE preset that they really like, leave it there, and then simply adjust the Subwoofer Level to preference for particular songs. In addition, that was a piss-poor explanation of what "Time Alignment" does. And it certainly isn't unique to this processor. Even the budget $300 DSPs have Time Alignment and 2-4 Presets. Many of this Audison DSP's other features are at least as important as the T/A when setting up an Audiophile-level stereo system in your vehicle. If you're going to attempt a proper unboxing, do more extreme closeups of all of the included bits & pieces, especially the DRC Remote, and include its LxWxD measurements, or at least a size comparison to a typical iPhone as a reference to its size and potential available mounting locations or possibilities. And at this point in terms of technology and this Audison DSP's cost, the DRC remote should be WIRELESS. Sure you may need to connect it to a 12v power source for it's lighting, etc... But even some of the affordable Kicker car audio amplifiers have a completely Wireless Remote very much like this DRC which communicates Wirelessly to the amplifier. It's rechargeable via simple & common USB, and extremely easy to mount just about anywhere because you no longer have to consider the cables/wiring.

It can be, this kit is deigned to be used by trained installers
BTW 8 presets it's pretty much standed for most prosessor at the lower price range
