I use meta glasses to source and toy hunt. It’s so much easier than having a go pro strapped to you. Best investment I feel like it makes content better because you actually get the eye point of view and feel like your there VS a GoPro chest rig. It’s more like Dave said the experience especially doing rip n ships live on instagram and fb with them on.
I think there is something to Ebay monster eating some listings until one sells. I picked up a massive load of brand new Snap On hats and listed them on December 27th. Multi-quantity listing that I thought was fairly priced. Basically gave the option for buyers to either buy a pre-owned hat from someone else or spend $1-$2 more to buy a brand-new one from me. I was worried these hats were going to sit in my storage forever when I didn't make a single sale for either of the multi-quantity hats I got for the first 15 days while the listing was live. I finally sold one in Mid-January and in the last 24 days, I've sold 15 hats.
Hey you can live stream with the goggles and have people let you know what your missing. And you'll be charging them to assist you. Or you can give a "reward " for helping.

If garage sellers seem to be curious about why I am scanning an item, I tell them what I do for a living. 99% of the time, they are fascinated and want to know more. I can only think of 2-3 times in the last 2 years being full time where someone seemed snarky about it. If they are snarky, I pull a Cary and just tell them I didn’t realize the other coins weren’t included and ask for my money back 😂
You should address the reseller who was filming at a yard sale, and then simultaneously a TH-cam prankster showed up saying he was a yard sale health inspector and he found violations and threatened to shut the sale down. They busted him as a fraud but things got a little tense.

I would not count out having a (good) audience even as you get older. I'm 44 and have been reselling full time forever so watching the 21 year old guys hyping sneakers just has no interest. Now, as I get older I'm finding many of my friends my age and 10+ years older are getting interested in reselling as they want to minimize their crap and have a little side hustle to add to retirement savings or give them some fun money for travel and such. People like seeing people "like them" on social media.
I hope Cary is joking about not being able to afford a plane ticket. Cause what's the point of going to a large sale across the country if you can't buy lots of stuff? Cary seemed miserable last month in Florida while thrifting, why rush back? More coin dealers to screw over?
