We are not meant to compare ourselves to others but I can relate to how you are feeling! I always feel a step or two behind but have to do what works best for our real lives lol
I'm lucky that our school is doing free breakfast and lunches again this year for every student. I have to make my lunches but I always make enough dinner and just take leftovers. I occasionally make my kids lunches if they don't like what's on the menu that day. I'm also lucky enough to work at the school with my kids. I love your recipes and copy them often.
Aw that’s so nice! My kids only have 2 or 3 things they like from the lunch menu. When they buy it feels like a break for me lol

Homeschool over here... we start Wednesday because I have had work this whole weekend - I'm a nurse. It is so hard to juggle all the hats, but homeschool does have more flexibility and quality time.
My kids choose to go to school also. They just really enjoy it and we have an amazing elementary just minutes from the house.
It’s nice to know the option is there!

I legit just told my kids they may have to carry their lunchboxes too! Between all 3 having their chromebooks and cases - binders - notebooks - takes up so much room!
My school has the first day as an orientation day. Parents come in and meet the teacher and kids bring their supplies to school and then they can leave. It's good because then the students who ride the bus don't have to worry about all the supplies they have to bring on the bus.

September is gonna be busy here also ! At the end of each month I write it all down on paper for the next month! I write it all down in my notes on my phone and go from there! I legit have dates until May 😮
My son starts soccer & my daughter wants to do Girl Scouts also! Plus they’re all enrolled in religious education classes ! Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays are our busy days!
As a single Mom when my sons were in school I had to work. I really wanted to volunteer at their schools but couldn't. So yes always volunteer as much as you can now...they will remember that forever 💜💙💚💛🧡

My son will be 3 in November and he still needs a nap, like Everli! My older child stopped napping at 2.5, so I’m riding out the nap for as long as I can 😂
And I too am keeping homeschooling as an option! I love the idea of it but my older child likes school, and I’m an easily overwhelmed introvert who needs my alone time to recharge. We’ll see!

I love that your schools don’t start until after Labor Day. That’s how it was when I was in school. We live in Alabama and our schools start back I believe like august 7th. It is so steaming hot it is so miserable for all these kids and teachers. Schools always complain about money but the state of Alabama could save millions in power bills to just wait a month before starting. I hope your kids have a great year. ❤

Just made a Back to school myself last week🙈. I just can't believe how time flies. My Son is in 9th grade now, my daughter is in 5th grade which means all new school and my little one is in his last Kindergarten year, plus i have to register him end of September for him to school next year. 6am wake
12:15pm nap. Usually 1-1.5hrs
7pm bath/get ready for bed. Usually asleep by 7:45ish

My almost 3 year old is the same age as yours. His preschool ends at 1. He has lunch time at school but doesn't usually finish it. I give it to him to munch on the ride home. I put him down for a nap as soon as we get home, most times he will nap till I wake him up to go get brother. So 1:15-2:15 nap. I am in and out of the car all day long on preschool days! He has so much fun though so it's worth it.
We do naps until K and even then my oldest would still nap half way through the school day. Earlier the better, I try and give them a busy morning then nap no later then 12:30 then a chill afternoon once they wake.

My sons school partners with a school supply company! Called 1st day school supplies. It’s so nice you just pick the grade and everything they need is in there. Definitely gets more expensive and more stuff each year. It makes it really easy though 😊

My son will be 3 in January he’s in pre school till 12 3x a week I can get him down for a nap around 1 on those days! Outside of that sometimes he won’t do a nap if we don’t do much that day and we just do an earlier bedtime 😊
For my daughter, I bought a tshirt and wrote in glitter glue "I sparkled through 100 days of school" and then hot Glued 100 gems onto the front of the shirt.
I usually send a gift after the first week with a note saying something like “hope your first week was great!”

Cilantro and asparagus-Cut or chop the bottom/tips or as much as you want , place them in water in a mason jar, glass cup or vase ( similar to how you conserve flowers ) place them in the fridge and they will last longer 😊

Note to the Hubs; turn shirts inside out that have decals, sequins on them so as to not get damaged during wash, also have a pair of scissors in laundry room for cutting off tags.
My 3 year old's school does nap from 1-3, which he never does at home. So on days he's home he goes down at 1:30 and I wake him up (if he sleeps) by 3:00 for a decent bed time.

How many days is your youngest going to preschool? Mine still naps as well, and I’m trying to decide how many days. If 5 is too much for them I wonder, or is the 5 in a row good routine vs every other day, so they can match older kid’s schedules. Any tips?!
