Instant sub. The algorithm finally is pushing me the content I want. No kore conspiracies and Holocaust denial. Only beautiful guitar pieces. Sir you have such wonderful feel.
Agree. I do however think that a lot of really goo players have a lot of clarity in their tone. They just know how to handle it without it getting harsh.
Beautiful piece. I mainly play it on the piano, it's a classic but it gets me every time! Hearing it played more open and free on the guitar, in your style, was a pleasure.
I kinda transcribed the first section (mainly from memory). Being raised in a Polish house I have heard Chopin since being a kid. It doesn't sound nearly as good as when you play it lol. Lot of nuances I really did not get correct. And it is really those voicing that sets the feeling in the piece. You constantly get overwhelmed by the universe of music and how much there is to learn and explore :)
20:15 "Baby, hold on to me..." :) Love your approach. I made a Partscaster and love that rich neck pickup sound that you are getting -- so perfect to play Chopin. Your analysis is mind-bogglingly great. So much to learn from you. Thanks. Ted Greene reincarnated.
Great lesson! I'm looking forward to adding more of Chopin's voicings to my playing. I've been looking for a harmonic analysis for Chopin on guitar for a while now. What do you think of Tarrega's transcriptions?
I have tons of suggestions for breakdowns, you might have opened pandoras box with that comment haha :) Shostakovich - op 87 Prelude no1 Major Erik Satie - Gnosienness No 1, Lent Debussy - Arabesques - L 66 No1 Grieg: Peer Gynt Suite No1 Op: 46: 1 Morning Mood (now this one might be on every tv commercial but the harmony is enchanting) Chopin - raindrop prelude
I am learning a lot from this video! Thank you for your lesson. What song would you recommend for a begginer of this style? I am interested in joining your lesson group.
@@nohjoh08 I just watched it. Very inspiring. It is a beloved song, so I'm sure many people would look forward to a lesson on it. Maybe do a song from a guitar composer like Melodia Sentimental by Villa-Lobos.
@@nohjoh08 Yes! This one: th-cam.com/video/szY7jmWHXJc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yjuSdnBrl_4jz0EP This performance has (imo) the best ending. The rasqueados are especially moving. This performer also does a really amazing Paganini 24 for the same reason.
@nohjoh08 btw, thanks for the inspiration on this video. I spent the weekend learning thus piece after I saw this video. Also, while I have your attention, I'm super fascinated by your dissonance notes technique where you play notes that are the difference between two other notes. However, I have noticed that it can be difficult to get the tonality right, so I have a solution; the green ringer (or really any octave fuzz). I've been doing something similar with a behringer super fuzz, it really brings out those clangy tones. Have you published a chart of which notes to play which other notes?
@@bsmith8166 hey thanks. Yes, in the description of that “Difference Tones” video, there are links to download files/spreadsheets which show the notes to play etc. th-cam.com/video/BrCvApPA6X0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ukRp7rxXuLHAjcYc

That is such a beautiful tone, you are showing jazz guitarists not to fear the treble!

Beautifully played and explained! 🙏
beautifully played indeed!

Loved this, Noel! Thank you for sharing.
I love it! And your tone man… amazing!
Awesome and beautiful tone!
That is some beautiful playing there sir ! Wow thank you !
Magnifique.. merci

Incredible.
My own interpretation is a lot ... um ... "looser."
I want to hear it!
Your tone is a killer! Thanks for sharing

Nice tome from your hands on this tele!!! Great lesson, thanks!

Oh yeah that hits ...sooo good.
Nicely done as usual,,!!!!😁🤟

What do you think of Tarrega's transcriptions?
I need to check those out!
very inspiring, thanks for sharing Noel. Would love to see more jazz breakdowns of classical repertoire - Debussy perhaps?
Great suggestion!
Bravo!
Love this, thanks. Your guitar sounds great! What pickup do you have in the tele there?
Thanks. That’s a Lollar mini-humbucker
Man, that neck pickup tone is unbelievable. So, so nice.
know what it is?
@@Roy-xe9is I don't, unfortunately. Care to enlighten us, Noel?
@@markchristopher4165 He did!
Beautiful piece, great interpretation, tone galore! (It's not a mini humbucker, is it?)
@@rsmallfield it is, I just don’t know what kind

Well... it was written for piano but it sounds great on that tele!

Shostakovich - op 87 Prelude no1 Major
Erik Satie - Gnosienness No 1, Lent
Debussy - Arabesques - L 66 No1

Great list! Thank you.
We need the Aja steely Dan breakdown
Any pick up will do, just beautiful playing

I'd like to hear you do nocturne 13 op 48 no 1 in c minor and prelude op 28 no 4 in E minor ( this one is reminiscent of Jobim's " How Insensitive " .
Thank you. I will check out the C minor nocturne. I posted my version of the E minor prelude last year, but I should do a lesson on it!

Could you do the same with the Prelude in A minor (1913) of Maurice Ravel please ?
It was great lesson ! Maybe some Debussy" Reverie" one of this time
😎
Noel what pickup do you have in the neck? Sounds unreal. Lovely piece.
Thank you! That’s a lollar mini-humbucker
@@nohjoh08 thank you!
Beautiful as usual! There’s a crazy high pitch frequency. Can you hear that in room?
Thanks. Yes! I do hear that high squeal in the recording. It’s not in the room. Definitely have to chase that down.
The ASD part of my brain was honed in on it for a minute 😆 may be your camera or PC? Lol idk if it’s even noticeable to the general public
Delicious!
beautiful. What is the neck pickup??
Thanks! Thats a Lollar mini-humbucker
Ah--my Seattle neighbor. Is that a standard Gibson spacing--I don't see one for Fender spacing, as he offers with full-sixed humbuckers?
@@Roy-xe9is I’m not sure!
Fantastic playing and tone. But does it swing???
Kiddin. That second chord is obviously a flatted 6th, the notation has it as Cb!
❤😮❤

Haha! Yes! The Trogdor shirt.
The tone of the guitar and the pick awful. How about using your thumb. Sounds more like rock guitarist's perspective. Get some pedals out.
