No lie. This is the one I’ve been waiting for. Jesse and BFvsGF was the reason I got addicted to TH-cam. I’m not heavy on podcasts. But I’m not missing an ounce of this.
I watched Jesse and Jen EVERYDAY after school! I was maybe 11/12 but their videos helped me through so many things at home. Having a dysfunctional family to come home and see a relationship that wasn’t destructive to me and be able to disappear and have fun for awhile was amazing. I truly cherished it and would be SO excited to watch every single day.
could not have said it better, except for me it was that i was lonely at school, so coming home and watching their videos made the days so much easier to get through
i love that he talks about her so respectfully and is incredibly self aware about his mistakes. the way he takes responsibility is so mature and i love that.
I’m really glad to hear him admit it was what happened with his mom. Because from the perspective of a viewer watching, THAT’S the thing that made everything change. I remember Jesse PHYSICALLY changing after that. He looked completely different. Darker. Darker in demeanor, under eyes, hair, skin, mood, the way he talked. Everything was darker after that.

I used to be 10 and watching BFvsGF and Roman. I’m currently 20 and the amount of memories that just came back from watching this podcast. I am still not over Jesse and Jen's split! :( I am 58 years old and watched their channel faithfully....they were adorable and I always wished the best for them and hate that they split. I can tell Jesse has grown sooo much....he seems calm and balanced.

As someone who was struggling with drug addiction in 2005-2010, the BFvsGF Vlogs were always like home to me. It's really encouraging to see Jesse doing well and getting some additional insights on the changes that impacted a significant part of my life. Thanks Roman!
I don't really want to say it out loud but I'm in this position now and I don't know what to do. In 2019 my girlfriend and I started using party drugs. During lockdown we started using a lot more. I even started abusing it in secret. This eventually led to her leaving me. I also lost my company. I'm trying to get rid of the drug addiction but I don't know how.

I had to cold Turkey a 10 year opiate habit and I’ll tell you right now….if you don’t want to quit, you never will. It’s time to be a man. You’re a bit*h to some chemical that will eventually kill you. Sooner or later you’re either gonna lose your teeth, fuck up your nose, shut down your organs, but I will tell you I told you so when I meet you up in Heaven 30 years after you, if you don’t stop.
@@TheXshot I would defo say seek help from your doctor or clinics where they do help you with addiction and get a recovery plan in action asap. Don’t give up because always remember you are better than your addictions.

I appreciate jesse’s openness when speaking on his relationship with Jen. I have a lot of respect for Jesse and Jen and I must say I have a new found appreciation for Jen considering they were in a relationship for 10 years and Jesse just up and left and never came back after all they’ve built together... yet they still have a great friendship.
Great friendship? He said they still keep in touch but he also just said feels like he could do better with his communication with her and their friendship overall. man, so many are way too parasocial for their own good that they literally just hear what they want to hear.
I remember those days when people would get soooooo upset when you did a brand deal. I'd get so much anxiety any time a video with a brand deal would go live because so many people would drain the comments saying "you're only doing this for the money" "you're a sell out" where as now a days its changed and people celebrate with you when a brand gets on board and gives you a pay cheque. It was so different back then
Bro I am so glad that somebody else remembers this. Brand deals were looked at so negatively back then. People were so upset for their favorite creators getting the bag. Now it is normalized.
To be fair we all knew TH-cam itself would change to a business of they did that, and pranks were becoming more and more fake instead of genuinely getting to know the TH-camr. At least that's what I got from it. But I'm glad these creators didn't let fear get to them bc now they have a stable income and open up a new job opportunity for everyone else.
these two are absolute geniuses. Changing there style and delivering but sticking true to where they started. Roman starting this podcast is going to be how he makes his next 20 million. All of his audience wants these types of interviews. People who were our childhood that we turned to for comfort on TH-cam, who have left TH-cam because life happens and we get those answers so many kids were left asking. You're a genius Roman. You have earned your millions
I dont know if its just because I've watched jesse and roman since i was a kid, but this is one of my favorite podcast episodes of all time. Jesse and Roman are telling the truth about youtube, censorship, cancel culture etc and its very frustrating that they're scared to get in even more depth about it. Conversations are getting more censored by the day and we are seeing it in real time with this episode!! Roman, you and jesse need to do another collab, you guys are so comfortable with each other its incredible.

I had started watching Jen and Jesse around 2012 when I was 20-21, I am now 31 and this is the first time I have heard the reason for their breakup. I appreciate the transparency in this podcast and the throwback of memories. Edit: I just finished watching the entire podcast, it is now 4:46am haha

Look back, Jen didn’t want it, I think Jesse did something that she couldn’t forgive at the time but with time she could overlook it. They seem very happy together with their videos lately
@@butternuts14 it's tough when you are in love and your partner isn't. You try harder to make them love you which pushes them further away. You can feel the expiration date creeping up. Once you recover from the heartbreak the one that left tries to come back cause you look happier without them and they aren't happier. Happens every time

it’s really good to hear him open up about the passing of a loved one and how it can affect all relationships even if it’s your parent, we don’t know how we will grieve and it’s important to know that some people want to run away and escape and we love our partners / friends / family but it’s just what we think is the easiest thing to do.
One of my favorite episodes as of yet! 26 years old I feel like I've seen every single one of their videos. The nostalgia was absolutely real. Love it! It was literally a real conversation and we were sitting there with them the entire time. The ending to the video with the fade out at the end was literally perfect. At the time I was 9 now I’m 21 I watched both every single day hearing them talk about old TH-cam is so nostalgic kinda sad how changes in TH-cam changes great entertainers. For me i felt like i couldn't completely focus on myself unless i left because i was so unhappy. And its hard because you wonder if your doing the right thing by throwing away your relationship, will you be happier or come to regret everything.

I knew he struggling the whole time they were filming at the end. I lost my dad almost the same exact way he lost his mother. I could see it all over him. he was trying to figure out who he was and sort through so many emotions he didn't even know he had. which often pushes away the ppl you love the most. one thing I always say there is beauty in the breakdown. you will grow if you allow yourself to sit with emotions and try to learn from ur situations the best that you can. I have to say I love that he knows his faults and dosent deny them. we all have faults and once we recognize them and try to grow for the future us. it will reflect In all parts of are lives. we are all just doing the very best we can...

Jesse, when I was going through a 3 yrs med crisis I started watching your & Jen's vlogs. I have worked with hundreds upon hundreds in counselling. During my crisis the peanut gallery that you experienced with people speculating about what was going on happened to me, by my family. I completely get how difficult life can be while going through complex crisis & have people bottom out which further isolates. Been back to my profession since those difficult days but the betrayal (in addition to earlier yrs betrayals) will never be forgotten. I relate to war vets in that we move on for our sanity, but know very well that not everyone will be there in those dark days. Forgive yourself for how things went with Jen, but those days were understandably a real challenge. Peace to you!

I started watching you guys around 7th grade (around 11/12 years old) and now I’m 21. The more I was watching the podcast it kept giving me so much nostalgia. I love both of your guys channels but I love to hear about the real life bits. Jesse should definitely make a podcast to talk about his real life situations or behind the scenes on old videos!

I remember when Jesse & Jeana both said after the breakup that TH-cam couples will never stay together, some do but many don’t! And they got so right! So many couples who broke up who looked like a perfect couple/family on youtube but fame/money got to them and in real life its not like when they turn the camera on!
Holy shit that's were I heard that. I always got nervous about TH-camrs I watched getting together or TH-camrs in relationships getting bigger because that quote stuck with me for so long.

I’ve been studying social media since TH-cams inception and what you say is true about how censored creators are being, have to be, in order to stay relevant and not cancelled. People don’t realize how much we are missing because of cancel culture, because people are afraid to be 100 percent real. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels that Jesse looks darker even until today...i feel that he regretted breaking up with her for some reason..

I remember those days when people would get soooooo upset when you did a brand deal. I'd get so much anxiety any time a video with a brand deal would go live because so many people would drain the comments saying "you're only doing this for the money" "you're a sell out" where as now a days its changed and people celebrate with you when a brand gets on board and gives you a pay cheque. It was so different back then
Bro I am so glad that somebody else remembers this. Brand deals were looked at so negatively back then. People were so upset for their favorite creators getting the bag. Now it is normalized.

To be fair we all knew TH-cam itself would change to a business of they did that, and pranks were becoming more and more fake instead of genuinely getting to know the TH-camr.
At least that's what I got from it. But I'm glad these creators didn't let fear get to them bc now they have a stable income and open up a new job opportunity for everyone else.

I dont know if its just because I've watched jesse and roman since i was a kid, but this is one of my favorite podcast episodes of all time. Jesse and Roman are telling the truth about youtube, censorship, cancel culture etc and its very frustrating that they're scared to get in even more depth about it. Conversations are getting more censored by the day and we are seeing it in real time with this episode!! Roman, you and jesse need to do another collab, you guys are so comfortable with each other its incredible.

it’s really good to hear him open up about the passing of a loved one and how it can affect all relationships even if it’s your parent, we don’t know how we will grieve and it’s important to know that some people want to run away and escape and we love our partners / friends / family but it’s just what we think is the easiest thing to do.

One of my favorite episodes as of yet! 26 years old I feel like I've seen every single one of their videos. The nostalgia was absolutely real. Love it! For me i felt like i couldn't completely focus on myself unless i left because i was so unhappy. And its hard because you wonder if your doing the right thing by throwing away your relationship, will you be happier or come to regret everything.

I knew he struggling the whole time they were filming at the end. I lost my dad almost the same exact way he lost his mother. I could see it all over him. he was trying to figure out who he was and sort through so many emotions he didn't even know he had. which often pushes away the ppl you love the most. one thing I always say there is beauty in the breakdown. you will grow if you allow yourself to sit with emotions and try to learn from ur situations the best that you can. I have to say I love that he knows his faults and dosent deny them. we all have faults and once we recognize them and try to grow for the future us. it will reflect In all parts of are lives. we are all just doing the very best we can...

Jesse, when I was going through a 3 yrs med crisis I started watching your & Jen's vlogs. I have worked with hundreds upon hundreds in counselling. During my crisis the peanut gallery that you experienced with people speculating about what was going on happened to me, by my family. I completely get how difficult life can be while going through complex crisis & have people bottom out which further isolates. Been back to my profession since those difficult days but the betrayal (in addition to earlier yrs betrayals) will never be forgotten. I relate to war vets in that we move on for our sanity, but know very well that not everyone will be there in those dark days. Forgive yourself for how things went with Jen, but those days were understandably a real challenge. Peace to you!

I remember when Jesse & Jeana both said after the breakup that TH-cam couples will never stay together, some do but many don’t! And they got so right! So many couples who broke up who looked like a perfect couple/family on youtube but fame/money got to them and in real life its not like when they turn the camera on!
Holy shit that's were I heard that. I always got nervous about TH-camrs I watched getting together or TH-camrs in relationships getting bigger because that quote stuck with me for so long.

People don’t realize how much we are missing because of cancel culture, because people are afraid to be 100 percent real. this one. this is it. and the convo was so intriguing. as a viewer i remember being upset when roman missed a day, how it felt when he wasn’t recording himself, the feeling of when someone said they had an editor or a sponsor. i dont know why it mattered or why we felt that way. but i can say 100% you were my childhood. id come home from school and wait around until 3:00 came when roman posted. the longer the vlog the better. i cant say i’ve stopped watching youtube though. im 20 now and probably watched yall when i was like 12 and still do to this day.
