Ok so for me nope my bony little shoulder is totally comfortable. It’s all leather plus hardware so it’s not light when packed with your goodies, but it’s not heavy. To me it feels like all my other bags lol. So when it comes to non leather straps chain straps or skinny straps I firmly believe everyone has to try it on. One bag with a chain strap might hurt while another bag with a chain strap doesn’t hurt. I have the 33, 26, 20, and wristlet and none of the chain straps hurt me. I’d say head to a retail store put your items in her and slide her right on your shoulder. No store near you, order online to try on at home since returns are free. Hope this helps.
