Great Video, cool idea including the familys reviews. yall r reading really good books and giving me too many tbrs haha. Love the providence cards in 'One Dark Window' and the nightmare in Elspeths head. I'm waiting for the fourth book 'Burn of the Everflame' but the authors hasn't given a release date yet, super excited for it though. Im definitely gonna check out 'Dragonfall', 'When the moon hatched', and excited to get into Brandon Sanderson books. Thanks from Australia
Thank you! The providence cards were super unique for sure! And the nightmare was my favorite part of the book, I apologize to your bank account for adding to the TBR 😂😂😂
it's so sweet of you to include your wife and daughters with their reviews!!! my little brother will probably love sniff, so please thank your youngest daughter for her recommendation!!
New subscriber. Great content, Joshua! I'll look forward to more videos from you. Thought about creating a booktube channel myself, but the idea of trying to read an entire novel in a week's time in order to be able to review it is intimidating! LOL Perhaps you've inspired me!
Loved seeing your wife and kids’ favorites, so cute!! Too bad Ninth House didn’t work for you, I want to check it out so we’ll see what I think, haha. I absolutely loved Tomorrow x3, Beach Read, and Funny Story!!! A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder was great too 😊 And yay for Way of Kings, love those floppy paperbacks!
I recently read Whisperwicks, I enjoyed it! Fun read, a little sad and loved the little twists! I also dnf’d Ninth House, I just couldn’t get into it. I may try again in the future. And I loved seeing your kids favorite books. It reminded me of the books my kids loved when they were little! My daughter loved Molly Lou Melon and my son loved the Otis books(about a little red tractor). I miss reading them bedtime stories!
I'm a few chapters into Empire of the Damned, and I'm loving it - but now that I know I'm going to have to wait forever for a third book... I don't know if I can love it as much. this was a pretty spectacular haul. while I very much enjoy the whole family giving their thoughts on books they've read. why haven't you or your wife drawn any pictures??? hmm? :p
The Selection actually has no fantasy in it. It’s more dystopian kind of like The Hunger Games. But I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I love the series. Also I haven’t heard anyone talk about The Bone Witch. I have the whole series but haven’t read it yet. I do want to hear your thoughts on it.
As someone who’s interested in getting into romance, what would you recommend? I typically find myself steering away from romance because I need more content to stimulate excitement in my brain- such as fantasy.. but I’ve been seeing so many romance books being raved over, I’m curious. Also, I forced myself to finish Ninth House. I usually don’t force myself to read, but I did and let me say.. you’re not missing much. It did pick up and get more interesting throughout the book but I unraveled the mystery about 1/3 into the book and reading the rest was tough.. ‼️‼️SPOILER ALERT‼️‼️ The one thing I wanted to happen didn’t happen. I wanted Darlington to come back so badly. I honestly thought his character was by far the most fascinating character in the whole book and he was just.. dead? I don’t really know, it was confusing, but he never came back. Also, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, including your family in your channel is so wholesome, refreshing, and enjoyable. I can only imagine how much your daughters are going to stay encouraged to read and enjoy the process. What a wonderful way to make memories with them. Lastly, I really appreciate your trigger warning for the Empire of the Vampire. I’ll have to look into it because I’ve been rather intrigued. I don’t do a whole lot of research on books and sometimes I really regret it. I can handle dark content but I need to be in the right mindset for it. Loved the video😊😊 loved your wife chiming in, loved the outro music- same music from your reading vlog and it’s so relaxing.
I don’t know if I’m the best to ask about romance because I’m pretty new to it but if I had to say a couple, If you like nerdy stuff I would read “dungeons and drama” or if you want just a normal romance I think the love wager is a good place to start too :)
