    Great job James. Watched both Whale Pump episodes. So many DIY vids just translate the manual. I can read too ! Thank you very much. You’re showing and teaching stuff your not going to read in the manual. That’s why we watch. Keep up the good work.

    Nice job ! Wood working skills are very good ! Finally somebody using a 5/16" socket on a 1/4" drive, only way to go. Quality beverage hose, at least that's what I call it. "Buy once, Cry once"

    As always great work James! Foot pumps are so worthwhile. The ratchet is a great idea. I am going to have to go with a floor style pump since I changed over to a "sit-down" boat. You may have already visited them but check out Llewellyns up on Figueroa if not.

    Looking good man. Just cleaned out the tank on my 1971 Alberg 30

      How did it look when you opened it up?

      Sailor James actually not that bad. It’s built into liner and has an aluminum lid. I cut out an access hole and scrubbed it out, put in new fittings and hoses. Are the 65 Albergs similar?

      mine is glassed in under the v-berth and has a single access hatch where the pick up hoses come in at. There is a crack in the metal where my fill hose meets the metal plate that is bolted to the top of the tank. I will be taking the hole thing off soon and sticking my camera inside to see if I need to also cut another access hatch to gain access to the other side of the tank.

    Thanks for the video. the recessed pedal and enclosure looks great. I think I might steal the idea for our A30. It looks like you could have placed the pedal just a little lower. Do you have any regrets about the height of your placement?

    • @SailorJames
      @SailorJames  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      the height was due to the shape of the hull, it is not possible to make it any lower in that location. I haven't ever noticed any issue with the height of it but it did take some getting use to in regards to "why isn't the water coming out when I turn on the faucet" haha
