Suspect Charged in Ambush Shooting Death of Pct. 4 Deputy Constable Kareem Atkins | Houston Police

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner joined Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Hermann, Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan and Chief Deputy Mattie Provost along with Alycia Harvey, David Mitcham and Ruben Perez from the Harris County District Attorney's Office to announce an arrest made in the October 16 fatal shooting of Precinct 4 Constable Deputy Kareem Atkins and the wounding of Deputies Jaqaim Barthen and Darryl Garrett, who is still recovering in the ICU Unit.
The suspect, Eddie Alberto Miller, 19, was arrested Sunday, December 12. He received No Bond for the Capital Murder charge and a total of $1,000,000.00 for the additional two charges (Attempted Capital Murder and Aggravated Assault) out of the 248th District Court.
