i have a power meter on my bike. Do i need a premium strava account to add the power reading to the overlay data to the cycliq video?

You can overlay power and other metrics from free Strava account using Vochiloop vochiloop.com. Here are the examples: th-cam.com/channels/kjAsUlZvC3HzbOK9xjJr1A.html

Is it necessary to have a minimum 32GB sd chip in to record videos or can one make do with a 5GB?

A crucial factor is the speed of the SD card... cheap ones are slower (meaning they can't write the video data fast enough).
If I recall, the current Cycliq Fly12 videos that are about 1GB in size (5 minutes) and when the card is full, it goes back and deletes the oldest and records over it for the looping functionality. With 5GB this is 4 or 5 videos - 20 - 25 minutes in total. A bigger SD or micro-sd card lets you store more and this is useful for longer rides to ensure video is not overwritten.
I think Cycliq supply a 16GB card... so that would be better.

My Cycliq app always says "No Strava data available for this video" even though I have connected my Strava account successfully and the time settings appear to be OK. Does anyone else have this issue?

I have the same problem! Cycliq support doesn't help. After using my device for a few months I can see that cycliq cameras are highly underdeveloped. I wouldn't buy them again

Can the cycliq date and time be removed from the overlay.

The date and time are recorded directly onto the original footage. You can adjust the format and configure however I am not aware that it can be completely removed.

How long is the shift in syncronisation?
This is probably something for Cycliq to address directly.

Does this functionality apply to the Cycliq Fly6[v] ?

There is no app connectability for the Fly6 Gen 1, 2 and 3 rear cameras. The new Fly6 CE apparently has some connectability however unknown whether this would be ok.
If you have 3rd party data such as through a Garmin or other cycle computer - then you can download the footage and then use the (no cost) Garmin Virb Edit software to overlay and customise ride data onto you video footage. For me this has worked well though I can't tried it with the rear Fly6 footage and the only issue may be correct synchronisation.

I don't understand why the new cycliq fly12ce doesn't have an ability to review the videos wirelessly like the old model. In the new model you need to take out the micro sd card and put it into adapter to read the videos through the phone. That's silly!

    • @bicyclesnetau

That is a surprise, I thought that it was only a matter of time until the functionality was included.
That said, with the Fly12 it was painfully slow to connect and quite unreliable and unstable so the only reliable option was to take the micro-SD card and access it on a computer (with SD card adapter).

@@bicyclesnetau Cycliq made a huge mistake. Let's assume you have a collision and you cannot show the police onsite what happened. You need to go back home, edit a video but it will take a lot of time.

@@esdopedoen517 While I agree that the ability to easily view footage would be appreciated, if there is a collision, the police would prefer unedited footage. It may be slightly easier to clarify responsibility at the scene of the collision however police are often seeking to make the area safe and gather information first before then processing.
If you let the police know that you have video footage, you may be able to provide this after or they may request the footage immediately. The other factor is the law and in some countries the Police may not accept the video evidence at all (which is archaic).
