    Can I put the Rops on my z345r mower

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately there is no option for ROPS on the Z300 series mowers. Good question and thanks for watching!

    Does JD make a floor mat to fit the Z920M? If so, do you have the part number? Thanks!

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, and it is part number LP1400. Good question and thanks for watching!

    Is there an actual brake, besides the parking brake? Amazing that this was not addressed in the manual or this presentation. I assume the neutral control positioning of the control levers is the actual brake when in use? I saved this presentation and subscribed.

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question and you nailed it. The neutral position is really the only brake on these machines other than the park brake. I'm glad you pointed out that i failed to mention this so I can make sure to do so in the future. Thanks for the sub and for watching!

      @@WesternEquipment Thank you for your kind reply and information. Even the manual does not mention this operational control (or lack thereof).

    Nice mower. I'm not in landscaping business but I'm thinking about 950z. It's looks very durable compared to residential grade. Thanks for the info presented here. Also, do john deere off miltary discounts? The 8500 price tag is a chunk of money.

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you and yes they are very nice. Also, yes, there is a military discount program but I am not sure what percentage is but definitely ask about it when you go to buy your mower. Thanks for watching!

    Can this mower be on the mow an acre series?

    • @WesternEquipment

      I am hoping to do a bunch of mowers next spring when inventory is better. But this one has actually been done, here is the link to the video th-cam.com/video/e_mdHfCsGmY/w-d-xo.html. Enjoy and thanks for watching!

    How well does the bolt in mulch kit work on this deck? do you get any clumping or windrowing? Also, the spec on this mower states the blades turn at 18,000 fpm. Do you know what the blade tip speed is on an X380? I currently own a X380 and I'm wanting to upgrade to this unit, but I was wondering if the blade speed is more. I cannot find nothing on the X380. Thank you!!

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In all honesty I have only run the Mulch on Demand decks on the Z900 series mowers and they work very well. I do not have any experience with the bolt on mulch kit, but I have not heard of any negative comments on it. Also, I will have to see if I can get you the information on the X380 as I was not able to find a blade speed spec either. Thanks for watching!

    I have one and it is stuck in the raised position, it has no manual control, so how do I fix this issue??

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So if it has the electric button to raise the deck, you have to hold that button down and then change your height of cut position and then unlock the deck with the yellow knob on top of the cut of height dial. Then you release the button you’ve been holding down and it should go down to the height you selected. If this doesn’t work then you may have a problem with the raise and lower switch or the actuator. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    Im in the Market for purchasing a commercial zero turn lawnmower.... your honest opinion of what you recommend?

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a ton of options so it really comes down to how much you will be cutting, what deck size you need, what type of deck (standard or Mulch-On-Demand), what engine HP you think you will need, and what comfort features you want (seat, armrests, floor mats, sun shade, etc). I know this didn't necessarily narrow down a model for you but hopefully this gave you enough things to consider to make your decision easier. Thank s for watching!

      The deck height adjuster is all plastic and will be wore out in no time..also stay away from electric deck lift..the motor alone is $1600..buy a scag and save yourself from JD issues..scag makes mowers and not tractors..

    The only problem I have with the Deere mowers is the deck spindle bearings, in the past they used sealed bearings so it does no good to grease the spindle bearings, the only way grease could reach the ball bearings would be to disassemble the spindle and bearings and remove the inner seals on the bearings so that when you grease the spindle zerk grease can get to the roller ball bearings. I’m assuming Deere is still using this type of spindle bearing.

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, in a lot of their mowers this is true. But the greasing does serve a purpose as it keeps the are around the shaft full of grease and keeps moisture from building up in side and ruining the shaft.
