I love my OS engines. Have a mix between OS and YS on my helis and planes. The OS engines are just so easy to handle. Start easy and hold tuning very well.
David, nice video as usual. Can you explain why you add the glow ignitor to the plug at low throttle? Does this help determine rich or lean on the idle needle? Appreciate any info. Thanks.
Precisely. It is a low speed mixture check. If the RPM increases slightly then is is correct/rich, if nothing happens then it is right or a bit lean. The low speed fuel line pinch test really does not work with 2 stroke engines.
Absolutely. Especially for lower quality engines. The metal wearing in creates particulates that can and will contaminate if not destroy glow plugs after the first few tanks. But OS engines are of such higher quality that I don't really that it will happen on this engine. After the second run the small drop of oil hanging from the muffler seam was clear! Not dirty at all. Quite impressive!
Great run in session! well varied throttle and rich- lean mixture settings. This engine will sing for many years to come!
Near perfect running little Jewel!
I mentioned in the Quick Look video how I fell in love with this engine at first sight. She is a dream,.
It's goes very well !!!

Yeah and this is only the second tank of fuel. it will only get better as more runs are done. i will hate to send this back to the owner....

Cool thanks for the info!
You mentioned that you think the glow plug won't last much longer.
Is that common when breaking in a new engine?

Man she's a honey. I checked Tower's web site and they no longer list this little jewel.
Nope, only the 35AX.
And I just picked up a new 35AX for my Combat Gremlin. I hope to break it in later this week or early next.
Os 35Ax be.....(bio etanol)...????
