I know this city very well, having done my Erasmus exchange there. I also speak Greek and come back every year for my monthly holidaysin this country. Some hotels seem great (number 8 for instance), BUT they are situated in a not so GOOD neiborghood once shops are closed, I mean after 9 pm. You'll feel unsafe and the "local faune" is not the best from Greece if you understand what I mean. The Monastiraki and Plaka's district are fine the day, not in the night. I wouldn't advise for this reason.
