Thank you so much Rae for the information packed beautiful video. It’s amazing to see how you build layers to bring the depth and also maintained the transparency in the subject. I was amazed how you taught us the beauty of limited color palette. I am scared to try this but it’s so beautiful that I want to pursue it. It is beautiful exercise to work with. Many many thanks 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️
Brilliant details & deep colours, I love it. I usually paint more on the big brush side but after seeing the detail you have achieved with such tiny brushes. Obviously keeping the water/paint ratio has to be just right & I'd love to try your style, it's more time consuming but that doesn't matter, whatever it takes to make a fantastic painting like yours, well, I'm going to tighten up & give it a go. Thank you for the inspiration. Much appreciated. 💐
Bravo Helen, this is magnificent, as always!!! I LOVE IT!! And I also love seeing the rain at the beginning of the video - we are having a very HOT summer at the moment and I'm over it now! Tomorrow it will be 35 degrees Celsius!! I think we might go to the beach to cool off!! Thank-you for another beautiful tutorial - you are a shining star 🤗❤❤🌠🤗❤🌠🤗🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
I am new to your channel but just wanted to say thank you for sharing such beautiful and inspiring content and fantastic tutorials🙏🏼 I am getting back into art as a way of trying to relax my busy mind so I am definitely going to try and have a go. Thank you so much☺️❤️🖌🎨
I’m new to your channel but I love it so far. I don’t think I’ll be doing this one but I so, so love the way you teach so had to watch completely because I have learned so much. You give all the essential info without repeating all the time or breaking the steps down more than needed, it’s refreshing (the teaching, not the wine lol)
So realistic. The video is very informative and enjoyable to paint along . All your videos are so inspiring and helpful for both beginners and pro, thank you for this amazing tutorial and I would love to see you attempt detailed landscape .
once again, beautifully illustrated painting and thanks for sharing valuable info. As far as your rainy day though, how bout we trade. We have 23 inches of snow still on the ground to maneuver through with dogs. They love it but I'm sure dog owners like myself are sick of it. Enjoy the rain. Snowy Niagara Falls Canada here.
Recently found your channel. Love your tutorials (and the sound of your voice is very soothing too!😊) started painting early 2021 after not touching a paintbrush since high school. So glad I started again! Love light and blessings!
i'm only half-way through your video & i already knew in the first few minutes that this was a very inspirational video tthat nudged me to try watercolor painting again!! ☺️👏👏❤️❤️
Thank you. We will be doing this in future videos. We are working a few weeks ahead so some of the upcoming tutorials will have the picture in screen and some won’t but going forward, it will be in screen
This is lovely. I would , however appreciate it if you could leave the original on the screen in the corner as you paint. That way I am learning how to paint it but I can paint it in my own style. Thank you so much.
Hi. It’s on my community tab if you go to my TH-cam page, and go to the community tab you’ll see it there you’ll need to scroll down a little bit. But we are still posting them on Facebook if you want to access them that way
I really enjoyed this video and am excited to give it a go. I'm very interested in how you mixed the peryene violet and neutral tint and to get such a rich color. Can you make a suggestion on what colors I might mix to get perylene violet?? It's really a beautiful color and I feel like it could be used quite often. Thanks so much for this wonderful tutorial!! 👏❤
Hi. Thank you. Perylene violet is one of those strange colours you can really mix but you could use a weak pink instead. Something like Quinacridone magenta could work.
Thank you. I have to keep the line drawing light when I’m painting otherwise the pencil lines will show through, we do provide a clear line drawing though

What would you suggest to be good substitutes for both of the reds?
You could try carmine or pyrol crimson
I have Daniel Smith Perylene Maroon. I think it will work for this . They look very similar .
Yes it will work
Would it work for you to keep the reference picture up? Great video
Thank you. We will be doing this in future videos. We are working a few weeks ahead so some of the upcoming tutorials will have the picture in screen and some won’t but going forward, it will be in screen
Hello, Is Payne's Grey okay to use in the place of the neutral tint?

It was a interesting demonstration but the drawing was too light only barely visible.

You don't draw?
Yes but I don’t have time
