*VERY LONG COMMENT REVOLVING AROUND CENSORED FOOTAGE* For those that have watched or are currently watching the video, you will have noticed a few scenes that are heavily censored to the point where you can’t see a thing. This was done to follow TH-cam’s guidelines. I tried many different edits, and each of them were flagged except for what you’ve just seen. Maybe I could’ve made it slightly clearer, but I’m just glad I was able to get SOMETHING approved by TH-cam’s system. I know the heavy pixelation makes for a lacking viewing experience. Trust me, I felt gutted by how much I had to censor these scenes. I don’t feel like they have the same effect as what I originally censored. So because of this, I decided to give the names of the clips here for those that are curious so you can search them up and watch. I can’t post the links here since I would be violating TH-cam’s guidelines. I MUST warn you all though, some of these clips are really graphic. So those that don’t wish to see the clips, I’ll provide time stamps along with descriptions of what is being shown for each one (I would’ve added them in the video, but TH-cam is sensitive to certain words for some reason.) A little unrelated, but I’ve also linked all the articles I used for this video. During the period where TH-cam was reviewing the video, I realized I should've included more screenshots showing the information. I’ll be sure to cite this information more in future videos. 6:35 (The description I give in the video is accurate enough but here is the video nonetheless. A kid is shown crying and being taken away from the scene. As several people crowd around the body, you can see a few teens still playing at their computers while the body lies dead behind them. They’re completely ignoring the situation. More info in the video link.) Video name: “Gamer who died in internet cafe is not discovered for four hours” found on TH-cam. 7:41 (The video is a timelapse of a Taiwanese man who is seen slowly leaning back into his chair. His body is completely stiff as his back is arched tightly with his chest sticking out. His head is knocked back all the way at an usual angle with his neck completely exposed. Throughout the timelapse, several other young people walk around him, completely oblivious to his state. The players around him have their eyes glued to their own screens. In a article published by Time, it’s stated the man was unemployed for a long time and that these internet cafes were the only places he could go.) The reason this footage was blurred was due to where the clips were found. The clips are zoomed in. The full images show other players lying in their chairs dead. The video is posted on TH-cam and is titled: “OMG...Guy Has a Stroke In Internet Cafe.!!” I was not able to find an article that would give further information on his state of health, but because of how similar the clips are in terms of how his body moves and positions itself, and the child / man doesn’t seem to get proper treatment, it’s fair to assume the outcome is not positive.) I think this video is really good, but I feel like the other side of this was not explored enough. You mentioned once about how video games might not be the problem. I feel like adding more things about the growing debate over if video game addiction is actually real would have been beneficial. How we never attribute this amount of scrutiny to other things people can become obsessed with. We don’t hear about sports addiction because we view that activity as a net positive. You never explored the benefits of gaming, and never challenged some of the claims made in those clips. Especially the one where gaming is linked to dementia, which does not have any valid research to support, and in fact a lot of research concludes in the opposite direction. There’s a wide debate about using the term “addiction” in regards to video games or even sex addiction. We toss this term around to things that we view as unproductive or negative in society, and rarely want to explore further as to why people want to put all their time into gaming. I liked that you brought up loneliness and dopamine attributed to people constantly gaming. People who are “addicted” to gaming is more likely a symptom of a greater problem, like depression, ADHD, escape from trauma, loneliness, etc. I wish this was more explored, but I still loved the video regardless.

I still can't believe we can't upload content reporting about serious issues on TH-cam without being shunned by the platform unless you one of the lobbyists with a platform so you could upload your clips and coverage of horrifying events with no problem whatsoever TH-cam sucks man I hope this comment helps that algorithm
This what frustrates me honestly and has tainted my desire to make more content like this (which sucks because this is one of the videos I'm most proud of.) Half the disturbing footage I used is on TH-cam, posted by several other news channels. The guidelines are also VERY vague which made it hard to determine what was "inappropriate" to them. Really appreciate the support though man!
@@StrictlyMediocre That's the thing if you are going to upload risky footage or topics take the infotuber route and censor most stuff and if the footage is not even worth showing on screen just blur it and put some VO describing the situation (ej: if the Thumbnail has the word opium censor a letter so the algorithm doesn't think you are talking about drugs). Honestly from what I've seen youtube doesn't like you talking about certain topics unless you already have contracts with advertisement companies so your videos will play ads like normal I know this words are not much in the sea of uncertainty that is youtube but I hope this encourages you to keep on keeping on
@@theshowershow appreciate the lengthy advice dude! I definitely learned a lot from the process of getting this video up. While making this, I wasn’t too aware of the potential flags I would get (I knew to censor a few things, but the usage of words were a surprise to me.) Of course the idea that society has caused these issues is left unaddressed or is merely an after thought. The House makes the rules and when the House causes the issues then the victims get blamed for the results. When will people realize society is your opponent and was never an ally in this? Even when society is of use, its more like riding a wild beast for who has control over your own path in life than anything anywhere close to being for your own good.
So I based that claim from "Current Population" Census.gov. It's updated on a daily basis, and like you said, China and India are neck and neck. Currently it says China, but I also see other sources claiming India has a higher population. (I read another article awhile back stating that India would soon be the highest populated country anyways.) Either way, I should've just said it's one of the highest populated countries instead. that's my fault.
@@StrictlyMediocre Oh well my bad, I thought you sort of presumed it, like many people do, since China was the highest for a very very long time. Good job on actually doing detailed research. Great vid btw.

Almost a year later and you still use that unbearable forced vocal fry. Speak up a little bit too, your vocal fry is so severe and hard to understand that it overpowers your actual words. I don't know what you're saying half the time!
Sorry man :/ It's definitely not "forced." It's just the way I unconsciously speak 95% of the time. If I were to speak any other way, then that would be forced. I understand that the sound isn't for everyone and can be quite irritating, but there's not much I can really do about it since that's how I talk on a daily basis. If it helps, I could add accurate subtitles. But even then, not everyone wants to read like that when watching videos.

this video needs to get out there. Feels like a punch to the stomach, makes me fear my favorite thing being taken away, but its necessary we are aware of what can happen to us

My kid gon be 6ft under it he spent 41k on Fortnite💀
Gaming is a form of education. Games are puzzles to be solves and training simulations. Games fill the gaps in the education system.
I'm a 3D artist and I've been learning 3D for the last 6 years, I always played video games and that was the reason that I came to the game industry.
Now I'm making my living off 3D art and making 3D models for video games, I feel bad when I see this type of videos. I don't play video game as much as I used to, but I feel like a drug dealer!
I don't really know a better job
I love my life style and honestly, I don't think I can start another career with same income and life style that I have right now.
Please don't feel bad, anything can be an addiction. A chef is not evil for making amazing food. These kids ultimately are trying to mentally escape the tyranny of the ccp and its brutal living conditions, their victims, but it is NOT your fault for doing something you enjoy.
@@WhyitJellyDonut Yeah, that's a good point.
life is so rough now day's and nobody teaches kids how to not escape reality and face the problems, and they telling to stop playing video games to escape reality!
I grow up in a poor family and a bad neighborhood, If I never started playing video games, I had to find friends, and it was rare to find good people to grow with, I think video games saved my life to be a better person.
I was lonely all my childhood, but at least I never had a bad friend to drag me in to bullshit, that is worse that playing 8 hours of video game in weekend!
I still can't believe we can't upload content reporting about serious issues on TH-cam without being shunned by the platform unless you one of the lobbyists with a platform so you could upload your clips and coverage of horrifying events with no problem whatsoever
TH-cam sucks man I hope this comment helps that algorithm
Honestly from what I've seen youtube doesn't like you talking about certain topics unless you already have contracts with advertisement companies so your videos will play ads like normal
I know this words are not much in the sea of uncertainty that is youtube but I hope this encourages you to keep on keeping on
@@theshowershow appreciate the lengthy advice dude!
I definitely learned a lot from the process of getting this video up. While making this, I wasn’t too aware of the potential flags I would get (I knew to censor a few things, but the usage of words were a surprise to me.) When TH-cam approved the video, I did feel a bit of hope for future videos, like “okay, now I know what works and doesn’t.”
I’ll definitely give another video like this a go in the future. I’ll be sure to be more careful about how I write and edit it next time.
Let them Seethe. VIDYA FOREVER
Imagine going to prison for gaming 💀 What has the world become!?
*if your reality is not fulfilling or entertaining, you will escape to another simulation* 🕵
Of course the idea that society has caused these issues is left unaddressed or is merely an after thought. The House makes the rules and when the House causes the issues then the victims get blamed for the results.
When will people realize society is your opponent and was never an ally in this? Even when society is of use, its more like riding a wild beast for who has control over your own path in life than anything anywhere close to being for your own good.
2:48 correction, India is the most populated country rn. Really close, but still more than China
So I based that claim from "Current Population" Census.gov. It's updated on a daily basis, and like you said, China and India are neck and neck. Currently it says China, but I also see other sources claiming India has a higher population. (I read another article awhile back stating that India would soon be the highest populated country anyways.)
Either way, I should've just said it's one of the highest populated countries instead. that's my fault.
@@StrictlyMediocre Oh well my bad, I thought you sort of presumed it, like many people do, since China was the highest for a very very long time. Good job on actually doing detailed research. Great vid btw.
A hobby that encourages a person to use their mind widely and see beyond themselves. To think logically. To solve problems. Of course authoritarians would view it as a problem.
Gaming addiction is an issue lmao I love gaming and have my whole life but even I used to have an unhealthy relationship with games, and just cause you have a healthy relationship with them doesn't mean everyone does or that it's non existent
Im by no means an expert on how addiction works. But it seems like a lack luster life might help cause addiction. I mean, look at the hell hole that is China. No wonder so many are addicted. I would be to in their shoes.
Altered the sound ... Feels like a beheading
Ikr. Like it sounds like somebody trapped in a Russian Sleep Experiment room.
For this kind of interresting stuff im shocked to see only 860 views at 10 days ill definitly send this to some friends your art needs to be acknowledge
Thank you! Appreciate it :')
Why improve when you can restrict?
Nothing to see here, just Conservatives blaming the world they created on the young. A tale as old as time.
Living under Communism would make me want to play video games until I die too.
Almost a year later and you still use that unbearable forced vocal fry. Speak up a little bit too, your vocal fry is so severe and hard to understand that it overpowers your
actual words. I don't know what you're saying half the time!
Sorry man :/
It's definitely not "forced." It's just the way I unconsciously speak 95% of the time.
