my dad borrowed a Makita 14,4 trimmer because his own one was broken, couple of days ago he bought the Robi One+ Hybride trimmer for 100 Euro brand new! (that was really a steal) and it's much much much more stronger than the more expensive makita one. I'm in love with Ryobi now
Awesome review. My petrol trimmer is a PITA and I've got a bunch of one+ stuff already and this review has made my mind up re: binning the old girl and upgrading to a sexy new model. Thanks mate.
The really good thing is that you can buy after-market betteries to fit Ryobi tools which cost a fraction of the cost of genuine batteries. My Vanttech 5Ah battery works just fine in all my Ryobi tools, and was only 1/3 of the price of a Ryobi battery. I have had a genuine Ryobi battery fail within hours of using it too, so this cheaper replacement has outlasted that one by a long way. Don't be scared of non-Ryobi replacement batteries ;)
Thank you for the step by step video-manual!👍 It was a "life saver"... I have never seen in real life how it works (grass trimmer) 😎🤔 Now everything is sorted! 👌💯 I am ready to do my garden tomorrow! 😁
I would advise against running it too hard. My daughter was unwell and her grass had not been cut for a while. I got the Ryobi blade attachment and set out to bring their lawn under control. It went well for a while, but on my second 4Ah battery it suddenly gave off a lot of smoke. I stopped and examined it, and the rotary part was tilted by about 30 degrees. I've not been able to straighten it, everything seems to be plastic. Having said that, I was very pleased with it and will buy another one! I just won't try to run it that hard again!
I had a Reciprocating Saw, that I worked to hard,, the plastic fans on the motor, to cool that down,, melted and that did not help the temperature. But I was really working it.
Thanks for the video, the random orbital sander is for fine / finish sanding, most do not remove much material, belt sander is best to hog off lots of material 👍
Thanks for uploading this video. I'm seriously considering getting one of these trimmers and the lawnmower too. Already have a drill with 2 x 1.3Ah batteries. My lawn is not as big as yours so I suspect I'll get my fine with my current batteries for the trimmer, however I'll probably invest in two of the 5.0Ah batteries for the lawnmower when I (finally) buy it.
It will be another month before I have to cut grass here. This has been the first week with warm weather. Battery operated tools are great when you remember to charge the batteries.
Hi Scott Downey Thank You very much! We have had some good days,, so the grass is almost ready for the second trimm this year. Thank you for watching! :-)
According to manual and ryobi video you simply power off and on it for string to roll out a bit automatically. No need to press that button under device. Doesn't seem to be working for me though.
@@MyPlayHouse Thanks, sounds pretty good. I just had to ask, since some cheap ass trimmers I had drained their batteries very quickly, like few minutes.
I don't know what it is with Ryobi but for some reason they are like Pokemon... gotta get 'em all! 😅 Give a LIKE if you have the same vibe with this brand for some for some reason, or leave a comment.
Hi lexpee Thank You very much! The bloody think is not and has never made any elektrisitet,, not enough wind where is stands. Thank you for watching! :-)
Hi. Could you specify exactly how tall is the box it comes in? I wanna order the exact same model, but I have some wierd size restrictions to receive it in my address.
I have a decent set of the Ryobi one+ tools and I intend to get this strimmer. I can say to go along with the orbital sander, the hand held vaccum is really quite poor too.
Hi Clare Colins- vancamerawoman Thank You very much! I did not feel any differences in smaller vs. Big battery,, only how long it runs on a charge :-) Thank you for watching! :-)
Yes it will run just fine,, not as long as the bigger ones,, but I think I get 10minutes out of my 1.3 and 1.4Ah ones. But I would recommend you to get two,,, It is so nice to have another one, for the last little bit.
Hi soccerzockt Thank You very much! That is an option,, but I don't really need to,, I have the power I need for all my tools. Thank you for watching! :-)
Yes it did the job really well :-D Did you mean "Jigsaw" for the forgotten name?. And i wanted to moan about the batterys, ok i give up, your logic is solid lol :-D. From strimmers i've had in the past, the quality of the nylon cutting line was very important, don't get rubbish line when it runs out as it breaks far too often, very annoying :-(.
Hi zx8401ztv Thank You very much! Yes Jigsaw,, damn :-) I was just in a shop looking at more Ryobi tools,,,They have new ones,, a new angle grinder with a metal head,, uhh I was so tempted.. Thank you for watching! :-)
easy edge, those trimmer seem to always talk about how easy they make it to trimming edges around fences etc:P that is likely what it's talking about; similar kinda propaganda on a black and decker my dad has:P

I would just get one 5AH battery,, remember to use the smaller batteries,, they need to be used.

It works for me,, I did find this,, it adds a little bit of leningth, every time it stops.
A lot of talk about the batteries, but you never mention battery life? How many minutes can you use it with a 2,5Ah battery?
How long will it run,, well this is much like buying Rubber bands by the meter,, it depends,, but 2.5Ah 20-30min
@@MyPlayHouse Thanks, sounds pretty good. I just had to ask, since some cheap ass trimmers I had drained their batteries very quickly, like few minutes.
The motor bearings will go out long before anything else does. 2 in a row have gone bad. Switched to Milwaukee
Mine is going strong.
Multi purpose safety slippers, which can be used for mounting servers and gardening. Are they from Ryobi too? I must have missed them on the flyer...

I see the shadow the wind turbine turning in in the grass. When have you time for a TH-cam about it. Seems very interesting to me.

You need a long pole of at least 20 meters or a pipe of 2/3 meters above the roof.
Down there in the garden it will indeed do nothing.
Hi. Could you specify exactly how tall is the box it comes in? I wanna order the exact same model, but I have some wierd size restrictions to receive it in my address.
I am afraid I got rid of the box ,,,long ago :-/
I have a decent set of the Ryobi one+ tools and I intend to get this strimmer. I can say to go along with the orbital sander, the hand held vaccum is really quite poor too.
I have been using up my 2.5Ah battery on this trimmer today,, so this is still going strong.
Great demo.
How would you rate it against a petrol model?
I do not own one of those :-/ so I do not know.
no demonstration of the edger facility I wonder why
I wonder to,,
Morten, what is that quote from? "Only fools fear not the garden." I love it!
Hi Timothy Webber
Thank You very much! I stole it from a friend of mine,,do not remember who thowe..

Hi Diogo R
Thank You very much! we do what we can, to keep master pleased... :-)

The sander needs the bigger battery 4 or 5AH battery. Then it works well 😊

Thank You very much! I did not feel any differences in smaller vs. Big battery,, only how long it runs on a charge :-)
Thank you for watching! :-)
dude i love your vids :)
Hi Axisofevil35
Thank You very much! glad you liked the video :-)

Do you think a 2.0 battery will work well with this?
Yes it will run just fine,, not as long as the bigger ones,, but I think I get 10minutes out of my 1.3 and 1.4Ah ones. But I would recommend you to get two,,, It is so nice to have another one, for the last little bit.
Hows the network coming along
Hi Matthew Landon
Still work well..
Thank you for watching! :-)
