2006 Sprinter T1N Heater and LED Lights (poorly installed)

  • I got cold and moved the heater from my garage to the van. I also wanted to see better in the cargo area at night since it's 16 hours of the day now. Everything will come out summer 2023 when I paint and make things better, so why not do a rush hack job?!

    i wish you had installed the heater under the passenger seat as I have the same setup with the aux battery tray in the way and do not know how to remove it so as to make room for the heater

      If you look along the edges, there will be spot welds that hold the tray to the floor. You have to drill them out and then deal with a bunch of holes in the floor. The easiest would be to get a few coats of paint in the holes, then just seal those with silicone. If you cut a larger square hole in the tray to use the flange the heater comes with, then smaller holes for the pipes in the floor it would probably be fine like that and keep the heater level.
