Wow! What an experience. I was born on May 20 at 1:31 am, just two hours different from Medusa’s birth. I left the patriarchal religion of my youth and traveled the world to find the balance of divine feminine /divine masculine. I was extremely ill prior to this Awakening and had to have part of my spine rebuilt- exactly where you would slit the throat to be beheaded. My Sun and Mercury are at 29 degrees of Taurus, within the orb of Algol. Thank you for creating this artistic and exciting educational piece.

I have MC and Moon in Algol, it is a pain to get out of the wild darkness of the soul and release from the pain of trauma, but once you leave this place of victim, you transcend the ego and become very free. this is so amazing thank youuuuu!!!!! I have my sun conjunct algol, saturn, jupiter, and venus and I am very aware that the divine (the holy spirit, shiva shakti) can never be tainted and it's very literally pov that allows us to connect with god but humans in a less evolved state tend to be ugly, uncomfortable, and egoic . Ego and the effects of trauma would like me to believe there is nothing more to consciousness then those but I can't seem to turn back my awareness no matter what obstacle i get not that i'd want to, the spiritual and real world challenges of this combination and others in my chart are formidable. Everyone has those but dark goddess placements are just so intense.

Algol conjunct my Moon 🌙 in my 12th house. I’m currently going through it… thanks for helping me process my unconscious world
I actually kept meaning to see where Algol was for me and it's conjunct Chiron in my 7th house of Taurus. As a Leo sun, I even played Medusa in elementary school in a class play, always felt close to the Goddess.
I have Mars in the 10th conjunct Algol to the exact degree, with Jupiter only 3 degrees away. Years before I had even the most remote interest in astrology my friends and I got really into graffiti. I would tag as “Ghoul” and , when we had time for more elaborate designs, I would paint a disembodied Frankenstein head. I couldn’t have told you why at the time, but looking back, I wanted to confront people with the grotesque. Very on brand 😂
Fascinating depiction! I remember being so captivated by the story as preteen when the movie played on regular TV. Come to find out my Jupiter is conjunct Algol exact and feel it has been a gift and curse, protection and unwelcomed attention. Something interesting, which iterates on the point you are making about the utilization of fears around "paternity discrepancies" to further patriarchal control in society... even within psychology, this theory has been taken for granted as being a "logical" fear for men. However, feminist surveys of human biology have found that the reality of paternal discrepancies have often been exaggerated and inflated by evolutionary psychologists to justify patriarchal norms. I'm curious where you found the chart for Medusa. I have aspects to every single planet in the chart. Her sun conjunct my saturn, opposite my mercury. Her saturn conjunct my moon. Her MC conjunct my south node. My mars trine Uranus, her Uranus trine my Uranus, her pluto square my ascendant. And a lot more. I feel this relates to me a lot, I've had corporate bosses tell me I have "stone face". I honestly just don't place my happiness in the hands of sucking up to bosses. 99% of the time they could care less and don't consider you. (my experience, i have saturn conjunct algol in my 10th house). Theres so much more to go on. I lose faith in humanity constantly. Algol teaches a lot, but ultimately makes you fearless. A blessing and a curse for sure

Thanks for asking Melanie! Most of the lyrics are up for debate, I like to write esoterically to allow the listener to come up with their own interpretations. But the 3 is a motif that you see consistently with Algol, she's 1 of 3 sisters, she's 3 stars, which combine into 1 to our naked eye, and so forth! There are many other 3's hidden in the video and otherwise, that I'd recommend exploring to help you arrive to your interpretation 😄 -JG

Hey could you please share some references for this episode as the literature I have cone across ,such as Demetra George's Mystery of the Dark Moon discusses the myth of the egg preceding the ancient Greeks by thousands of years and the domination of medusa as an allegory of the Christian Church taking precedence over the previous goddess religions. Hi @appletreedecorating the myth used in this episode is an original adaptation written by me (Joe G) using the original myth of Medusa found in Hesiod's Theogony, the original elements have incorporated Astrological Magical Lore found in the De Imaginibus and Christopher Warnock's book on Fixed Stars.

Beautiful study! I wonder why Algol activated with a planet in conjunction sometimes comes together with Pluto in the first house (ascendant)... the case of Uma Thurman, Asia Argento and Charlize Theron.
Mars, mercury, black moon Lilith conjunct ALOGOL, ….opposed Neptune ….10th house taurus…5 degrees from sun and MC….and I am suffering from May 17th….looking for explanations…..(I love NIN or did….he captures my love for God or lack there of or want of…we had a falling out).
