French style perfumery - not my cup of tea, but I can objectively appreciate the quality with MFK. My favorite would be Gentle Fluidity Silver, but I do not feel committed, yet.

Great overview, I feel the same way about this brand. I’ve tried several from the brand and I just feel they’re boring. I don’t like baccarat rouge. I tried oud satin mood and gentle fluidity silver. Most don’t project and are not that interesting to me. Even this one seems bland. I may get a sample but not expecting much. I just remembered I liked a rose fragrance but I wasn’t blown away. Too many other fragrances out there that I prefer.

I think these are more meant to be ‘old reliables’ and not necessarily wow inducing. I’ve come around to appreciate MFK more as I wore them.

Hi Daniel, I am also discovering MFK through their discovery set. I agree with you on your assessment of the house. The "oud satin mood" has a beautiful opening" but I am not sure about the dry down of it on my skin. I do not detect any saffron and the dry down ... gives me the "old drying roses" kind of smell. I am still trying it Oud on my skin but... I am not sure this will be it for me.
I am on the hunt for a nice Oud for my collection, so I will keep trying.
Note: From the house MFK, of course I have heard about BR540, and I was determined to hate it because of its popularity. It happens that I can not hate it, I love it. (Full bottle in my collection, since where I live not many people know or use BR540).
This scent is very strange, and I explain, It is so airy that the user can hardly smell it on skin, it is sweet but airy/cloud like sweet (not dense or syrupy) just elegantly sweet, in its sillage. the dry down is woody (?) yes very very unique on the profile but also the user experience.
Are you familiar with it?

Thanks for the long comment. Unfortunately for you, there is no simple answer to getting “an Oud for your collection”. They are all very different and you’ll end up going wayyy down the rabbit hole.
I don’t see this as a bad thing btw 😎
Never tried BR540 on myself, just smelled it off people and on the strip. I’ll have to get a decant sooner or later…

Try to get a decant of Oud Cashmere Mood. I believe it's discontinued now but man was that a beast. Smokey campfire Oud. Very masculine and super loud. So sad they decided to remove that from the line as it was by far the best.

@@SeldomlyOften definitely try to. It's the most beautiful smokey fragrance I've ever tried. Reminds me of standing next to a big bonfire or something and when you come home your clothes have that ashy smokey smell.
BTW. Absolutely loving the content. Your channel ha been a breath of fresh air as I was getting tired of all the other well known channels that are basically ads at this point. So thank you

It appears to be similar to Xerjoff Gao which I covered in a comparison. That one was incredibly harsh. I’ll have to see if I can find it.

Nice Video!, have you tried any fragrances from Comme des Garçons?, if you haven’t I recommend Black;very smoky and spicy(little sweet towards the middle stage), somewhat challenging

Unrealisticly boring scent. Very overpriced. Does not change on skin at all, what you spray is what you get. Smooth almost silky woods with synthetic oud note. Performance is average. Almost absurd release for 225€ per 70ml.
Can be worn any occasion any season

@@SeldomlyOften mfk house is for me hit or miss, and francis kurkdijan as perfumer as well, have some awesome creations but man he has so many misses that i cant even describe
