Went to the afternoon show on Saturday, first time my family has gone to Wildwood and seen the trucks there since around 2011, before the MetLife shows even started! Hoping our tradition of going to Wildwood each year for the monster trucks is back and that it will now be MetLife and 1 Wildwood show every year.
What a season
Now this is great jersey shore's
Sucks every year less and less trucks show up for this. I remember going down there when I was kid and it was 10 trucks and including the likes of Grave Digger and Bigfoot Monster Patrol Samson,Carolina Crusher and even Snake bite, BearFoot, to name a few. Wish some of the bigger guys would say screw monster jam and come out and have fun on the last few days of summer.
This show has gone from six to eight trucks in the last two years. Frankly, many of the names you mentioned either aren't the force they were 20 years ago, or are owned by Feld/Monster Jam and can't simply "say screw Monster Jam". That said, Avenger, Rage (at least the driver and chassis), Jester and Kraken are all highly regarded independent Monster Jam competitors. Brandon Budd and Dave Radzierez have both run for them and done extremely well. Rat Nasty is seen as an up and coming star. This is NOW. Your lineup was a dream lineup 20 years ago. Things change.

Dave has admittedly had an absolutely HORRIBLE season. Might have a new truck for 2020.

@@alexanderkahl1288 he told me he wants another PEI XT but if they don't do the changes he wants, he is gonna go with a chassis like what Cole runs with Black Pearl and Jamey with Over Board.
@@dwp139 It doesn't seem like it's the truck that's giving him problems. It seems like the powertrain is what continuously fails. It seems like he just can't find how to get that engine running right. I think that it's a bit inherent in the design of it trying to be a high performance clean diesel. That requires a lot more complicated electronics than the comparatively simple blown methanol engines most trucks run. That's one of my concerns with the new engine that Gale Banks is building for the Brodozer. He's making everything so super technical in messing with such tight allowances that I see things not running well if even the slightest thing is off, and with the level of technically the engine performs at, diagnosing the problem and the solution could be very hard. I immagine Brodozer will fight with a lot of engine troubles when they switch over to the new engine.
@@nathanielspoelman9881 Dave has a plan for 2020. He's definitely not just looking at the drivetrain, bc he kept taking away horsepower just to not break parts, and it still did. So he's got upgrades coming, and potentially a new chassis as well.
