This is bittersweet. Happier times. Eydie and Michael are both gone. Steve is struggling with dementia. David is trying to keep his family memories alive.
David posted this on Facebook and Instagram in connection with A Toast to Steve & Eydie at Zankel/Carnegie Hall this past Monday - March 18, 2024. It was a once in a lifetime, emotional and wonderful evening. To start Act 2, he played audio of himself at 9 singing On a Clear Day.
He isn't singing out of tune, he is singing different notes than the original, but which blended. I've heard many an adult jazz singer do that. That is amazing for one so young even with 2 singing parents. My mom and my bro (not pros) could sing harmony easily, I couldn't.
I agree with you! I know David's cousin well. (Steve's brother's son). And HE can sing like crazy too! They all have such a natural ear and style. Amazing!!

so sad David died so young from a heart condition. He looks like a young Steve. Michael looks like he's going a great job with the band.
Doesn't have the voice yet, but has the style 😊....His little brother can definitely direct the orchestra though. 😮
