**JENNIFER'S BODY** takes 'hangry' to another level... & I'm eating it up! ~ Blind Movie Reaction

- Hello my loves! Today we're reacting to Jennifer's Body and nothing hits like a little gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss story mixed with some demonic murder! This was so fun, so unserious, but actually has such a good deeper meaning and commentary, that makes this film incredibly worthy of it's high acclaim. The girls that get it get it! and the boys that don't, die. OOP-- Also, I blame the parents (or lack thereof) for everything that happens, and I'm not sorry.
If you could relate to Needy's level of gay panic the way I did, give this video a like, respectfully comment your thoughts, and as always, SUBSCRIBE!!! Or don't. I can't make you. :)

I loved this movie when it came out but it wasn't really appreciated nearly as much as it is now. It's nice to see a cult classic get a larger audience.
Peak Megan Fox crush here
... 14:12 ... The way you said "What a liar" was absolutely adorable... My caramel ass almost melted. 😂
Not the clip of Shane with his "DeMoOoN" 😂
it was the first clip I thought to include ☠
You have shown me 2 scenes I’ve never seen before? What?
She's not in a prison, it's a psych ward.

What a great cult classic, this film still has great vibes.
there are a few good true crime vids about the original story
You watch Watcher? Love those guys
I loved the song and a boy band has to do what it gots to do to survive.
Another gem. And I hope you'll do more Stephen King adaptions.
And obscure titles, like Kill List (2011)
All The Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006)
Why I can't see your reaction in Patreon of The boys 3x1?
Great reaction! I think it’s really an oversimplification blaming the marketing for the movie’s bad reception. It was terrible, sure! But I don’t think more appropriate marketing would have made it any money. It might have received more praise, and reached the right audiences, but maybe not. This kind of marketing was (and to an extent still is) the norm. But some people would still see Megan Fox and feel entitled to seeing a traditional horror film with T&A, and others would say “nah I’m indie, no thanks!” or “I don’t like horror!”
Not to mention, the real issue is… marketing to cis straight teenage boys is only a failure because so many, ESPECIALLY straight young men, and really anyone with certain privileges, are very closed minded about their genre fare. They are so often catered to, they become furious when they aren’t. And many, especially American audiences, are not used to seeing movies that require thinking or dealing with uncertainty.
I’m saying all this because I continue to see the same thing now with movies and shows that are NOT mis marketed.
Wow that one paragraph of that article is… I get that it’s giving context for the negative reaction. Referring to men being lured in only to see good men ripped apart. I can’t help but think of how women are excoriated for even criticizing constant vîólēncẽ against women in films, including horror. Girls are expected to be invested in men’s stories, just as everyone is expected to be engrossed in stories focusing on white people and all other privileged demographics.
But the reverse is portrayed as unnatural and unexpected. “Well of course men wouldn’t be interested in anyone other than them! Empathy for the oppressed? Someone not like them? And these poor men were actually DISTURBED because the vıōlèncë wasn’t just against (often GOOD) women!” They *should* be disturbed rather than complacent about that.
Their “avatars” are the men attracted to Megan Fox? Is it so bad their fantasies weren’t catered to and they weren’t free to ogle and objectify her without being “satisfied”?
Also I dont think Needy was uninterested in her boyfriend?! She was in love with him! She had a much better relationship with him than with Jennifer, though that was more intense and long lasting, and also romantic of course, even if unrecognized.
Well I can’t deal with that article overall, but yes agree with your summation and how it’s to me more the way cycles of violence and trauma are perpetuated, not in retaliation against the perpetrators. Except at the end!
love you rae
