A hen will never dance in a circle, however, she will coo from time to time. Dancing a nice circle and blowing up the crop, that’s a cock for sure! Good video Jack.👍

Hi! Just watched you do the nail trick. I was initially skeptical, but I watched your hand and you aren't moving it on purpose. As for my theory, the nail trick does not work because the nail needs to have an initial momentum in the system. By holding onto the string, you introduce a disturbance in the system that causes the string to begin to swing in a random direction. Naturally, without any magnetic field, this random pattern most of the time will be elliptical simply based on statistics. So when you have a female pigeon applied to the system, it seems it does not have an effect due to the nail on the string following the typical random swinging. When you apply a male pigeon to the system, the random pattern lines up with the two poles of the magnet. The way I originally thought of it was shaking a compass and watching the dial move on the earth (male), and shaking a compass and watching the dial move in space (female). Hope this makes sense lol. Pigeons have Magnetoreception, so there's likely something going on with that. Magnetoreception seems quite complicated so I'll leave it at that. Beautiful birdies btw :D
Thank you for sharing and watching. Everyone has their own opinion on the nail trick whether it works or not. It’s up to the person doing it. I believe it works not 100% of the time, but it helps determine the sex of a bird.
What kind of string did you use? Does it matter? And can I just use a normal nail?
Stain of pigeon it doesn’t mater. If you are training sex pigeon. I use metal nail. I like using 16 D nail but anything Metal would work even ring 💍.
