I agree. I've seen professional barbers doing fades with Walmart 20 dollar clippers and looking crisp. It depends on the barber not the clippers yeah the clippers do make a difference but if you can't cut hair right you can be using the best clippers with mediocre results.

@@marcorangel1625It's all the same, how good a clipper cuts all depends on the blades and the blades are just pieces of metal that can be made extremely cheaply. Due to that the blades of a good clipper and an unbranded clipper can be just as sharp and just as effective at cutting the same hair. The expensive clippers are expensive due to the marketing and the design and probably a better quality battery, motors that last longer, better colours or plastic body material etc but none of those make a difference to how good the cut because the only thing that matters is the blades that contact the hair and blades aren't expensive so there's no reason a cheap clipper cannot produce the results like an expensive one. Even most barbers after their blades gets used for long change them out with aftermarket blades that cost cheap and goes to the same cheap clippers out there.

Get the more expensive ones as long as u can afford it. If ur just going to end up buying them anyway might as well just spend the extra 100. They’ll also make it easier for u as they’ll be better quality. The TPOB more expensive tools are good but I heard the cheap end tools are really bad and barely work apparently
Just because TPOB is more affordable doesn’t mean they don’t cut like the more expensive ones: TPOB are legit

If u encounter problems with taking out lines and blade getting hot. I had to buy a new blue blade not sure why but with the blue cutting blade that made my lo pros 10x better was abt to sell them think I got a bad pair.
Haven't had that issue yet but I'll keep an eye out for it. Appreciate the feedback bro!
Tbh bro TPOB clippers cut really good in all honestly the TPOB clippers actually cut in a very close race with the Lo Pros , Make sure you don’t use babyliss gaurds , and use Wahl Premium gaurds fam !!!!

I personally started not that long ago and I have used babyliss gold fx the cyborgs and jrls and I love the jrl they are the best and I recommend them alot

Dope congrats on starting your journey and as a 10 years licensed barber I agree with your mentor they pretty much all cut the same lol but we all have our different styles and preferences on feel ergonomically and visually what catches our eyes but my favorites right now are the tpob plays which is their newest release and Wahl cordless seniors with the fusion still blade on it trimmer wise the tpob xo trimmer and original gold babyliss trimmer with the new deep tooth 2.0 blade

Thank you bro! Good luck to you as well! It's just about 3 months for me now and I do already want another clipper lol. Most barbers do have more than 1 set of clippers and trimmers though. There can be different uses for them depending on the way you set them and the thickness of the blade. But aside from that I do just want another clipper for sure.

So, for me? Master knows best. If I'm choosing my mentor, then i trust my mentor on most levels. If he made a recommendation I would have gone with his recommendation. The Babyls is amazing but with all it's power it's not as forgiving as let's say the 6000-7500 rpm motor inside.
TPOB PLAY is a better version of the JRL ONYX for a lower price. I have both, and they cut the exact same (same manufacturer) . I just prefer the PLAY, better looks, ergonomics, size, and weight are just superior.

TPOB are fire clippers fam , to be completely honest i don’t like my FX Lo Pro One’s much i retired then already i’m using Instinct X, $300 clippers with customization options you seem like you’re balling by the whip so i’m sure you won’t take offense to the ones you got not being the absolutely best
