All of a sudden my fist blowing of this lick was the perfect audience accompaniment to the song and got a good response from both on stage and off. My shining moment.

As an F grade guitarist from the baby boomer period, I thank you for your analysis. Ive always been intrigued by that part of the passage where he starts playing triplets (da, da, dum.. da da dum). I first heard this song in 1968 (The Good, the Bad and the Badder😊). At the time, I didnt realise that this song was from a spaghetti western filmed in 1966, when Clint Eastwood was financially struggling. This song was released in 1968 and had moderate single success. I think it was Hugo Montenegro's version. He was the person wrote the theme music for " I Dream of Jeannie".

He did the score for John Carpenter's "The Thing (1982)" which was probably Mo's most minimal sounding score of his career.
He also did many others. One of his most recent was Tarantino's "Hateful Eight". Brilliant score.

Man that Jazzmaster has a great clean tone. An overlooked Fender and an alternative to Strat & Tele. Digging that tremelo bar too.
