Beautiful video! Alberta looks like a very green and beautiful place to be but that's just the brief impression perhaps that I'm getting from this lovely video. Alberta Canada also happens to be a little closer to the western coast (which I happen to be "living" in California).
California weather has been getting super hot (especially in Summer times). So I really like cooler more rainy seasons and environments.
Ehm...as for the rest of the video (especially about how to compose an honest essay that expresses the uniqueness of a student and their set of experiences)... I think Alex Li, you nailed it and explained it extremely crystal clear. In my humble opinion, 90% of life and success is based on self confidence, individuality, and self discipline. So fitting in with a Mold will never attract anyone reading about you. They want to see what experiences make you a unique person, and what challenges you've overcome to become who you are Today. If anything, a mark of flexibility and individual ambition and drive as an individual are super helpful.
I learned all these important principles much later in life and though I would in some way try to augment and enhance the already many fantastic points raised by Alex.
A few years ago when I hurt my lower back due to too much hard work on my Android App, many things in life Crystallized (if even much later on in life than I would have liked). So now at 47, I try to share something with others to make them feel good about life and boost their confidence.
I would also like to add that without some occasional darkness and pain in life, we could never appreciate the lighter better times. There would simply be no frame of reference. So I urge younger people to embrace their past or current struggles or so called "failures" with even more vigor and appreciation than their days of glory and victory. Because one thing no amount of education will teach us, is that triumph and glory only come from a lot of struggle, hard work and discipline 🙂
Thomas Edison had to experiment for hundreds of thousands of hours and test 10,000 different filaments before the light bulb came to life. That's why they say success is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration (or Genius, imagination etc). It's really true.
Anyways, that's just my two cents worth and I didn't mean to write a PhD thesis paper on what I think life requires. All I'm trying to say in my own little way is that the path from point A to B should not be expected to be a linear one. It's often quite zig-zaggy and complicated. But unfortunately modern day society only shows the final product and destination without nearly enough recognition of the journey involved to get there.
    Great Video Alex!
    I'm a huge fan 👌
    Your friend,
    Alex

Wow thank you my dear friend. What a pleasure to know someone so absolutely awesome as you!
Ehm... As we grow older, sometimes the tough lessons get passed down and we become better and wiser for listening to others who came before us. At least that's what my Ancient Asian culture of Persia always taught me.
Although I have lived in the United States since kindergarten, I still value the ancient teachings of Eastern cultures because they are many hundreds of years older than western ways.
Actually, my own Persian Heritage dates back 100,000 yrs, so I have to be extremely respectful of such cultures.
Anyways, not to turn this rant into a lesson in History or nothing 😊 but I believe only love, respect and helping one another are the only remaining true powerful things of value. Unfortunately most of these things have become an extinct species in the madness of modern life, and when I sometimes get down a little about how Stuck it feels to live in modernity, I turn to the Ancient cultures and wisdom of great thinkers, to help remind me how much we have left to go... To learn about how much more reasonable and sensible the Ancients were, compared to this modern madness of savagery and competition.
I greatly appreciate your open arms welcoming me to share my personal feelings. If mankind can defeat isolation and loneliness, I think we are all the richer for it
      Kind Regards
      Alexander

      Hello dear Alex,
I hope you had a safe trip from beautiful China over to Waterloo area. I am looking forward to your next video presentation my dear friend, and I'm sure you're enjoying your awesome X15 laptop alongside myself.
Dear Alex, I had a few questions please... As you are aware I am an Android developer.
      Some Questions & Suggestions:
if I may ask (since you know I'm the developer of a prominent Organizer on Google Play Store called:
      EZ Notes by Alexander Madani)
Ehm... I realize you're likely an iPhone user, but I was wondering if you have some friends in Canada and eventually at Waterloo, that use Android smartphones (like Samsung, LG and OnePlus devices)?
As the founder and CEO of EZ Notes, I am always eager to see my work help more and more people (especially busy students) to speed up and automate their organizing in a hands-free voice manner. As you already kinda know about me, I am the pioneer of Hands-Free (easy portable) note taking on Google. No other organizer is as portable as my solution! This is why my product is a phenomenal success as even a Paid App (which as you know... Most play store users usually download free Apps)... But because my organizer is extremely innovative in the area of Ultimate Mobility, it has become very popular and successful.
I wanted to know if you had any thoughts or ideas (ways) that we can introduce EZ Notes to university students in Canada and Waterloo in specific? As you're an amazing architect and engineer, I am always eager to work with more talented people to come up with fun and creative ways to share and educate more people around the world about the incredible intricacies developed into
      EZ Notes.
You see dear Alex, I was recently in talks with a university in Egypt (I was in touch with their vice president of a renowned university there)... And the vice president of the university in Egypt was so impressed by EZ Notes, that he volunteered to proudly share my product with all his faculty!
As you can see on my play store, EZ Notes started receiving massive praise and downloads from many students across the middle east (including Egypt, Syria, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). This was helped also by the fact that in version 6.2.0 of EZ Notes, my team and I introduced Arabic language support, making it the 10th language we currently support.
So EZ Notes has a lot of potential to help people and is an extremely affordable tool for anyone (including college students). But since I'm an independent app company and developer, I don't have the same marketing resources as say Google or Microsoft, and I have to make my own efforts to get this 8 year project (research and development by many engineers) discovered and studied.
So simply put, I wanted to see if perhaps (leisurely and as your time may permit)... You and I can brainstorm together and see if with your bright energetic talents, we can think about ways to introduce EZ Notes to more Android users in Canada and in particular at universities where this App is helping so many worldwide people already?
Kindly (as your busy schedule permitting) let me know if you can slowly begin working with me to have us find ways to reach more people in beautiful Canada.
We already have a ton of happy Canadian customers, but they discovered EZ Notes by luck. So I am trying to help more people discover, study and utilize this wonderful Android Organizer through a bit more proactive and deliberate marketing.
Please also bear in mind that you can find me on Google Play Store by typing EZ Notes. And make sure the developer name is
      Alexander Madani
I have lots of educational marketing materials, graphics, articles and even a private product Facebook group that hundreds of customers from around the world have joined.
You're most welcome to join us on that Facebook page at any time so should you wish. That way you can leisurely browse around if you like and read my community software posts and begin getting involved with us.
If you're interested to learn more and get involved, you are welcome to email me at:
      amadani@pristineusa.com
Just please remind me that you're from Canada and introduce your name because I receive thousands of emails daily relating to EZ Notes, and it's hard to keep track.
Let me know your thoughts please and I would love to be in touch both here on TH-cam as well as by email correspondence.
Thx again for your kindness and
Camaraderie, and I love your channel and hope to see it grow.
Look forward to hearing from you soon hopefully dear Alex. My prayers and best wishes are always with you.
      Kind Regards
      Alexander Madani

As a domestic student at UofC, no. They care the most about your grade 12 grades. Your grade 11 grades for pre-admissions. I am not sure how it works for international students though.

They care about your grade 11/12 grades. As for CS, I believe last year, the admission average was around a 90 and that was just for domestic. You can always call them for more details tho!

Hi. Amazing video. I’m a future postgraduate student fall 2023. I have applied but I’m worried because the offer letter is taking so much time. I want to know if I should submit my CV and statement of purpose to support the admission process. Thank you

Thanks for the support! Unfortunately I'm not related to anything regarding the official admissions process so I'd encourage you to contact the admissions officer for your program and ask them.
