    G'day from Australia, I just stumbled on your channel today...
    Great tutorial guys, very well explained and demonstrated, a lot of tutorials out there tell you what to do, but the camera is always positioned in such a way that you don't actually get to see what's happening with the clutch and throttle...
    If I may add a little something here? It's always good to practice learning to wheelie on a slight uphill as it keeps your weight more toward the rear of the bike and it's easier to get to the balance point without picking up too much speed.
    Cheers.

  • @BabyCharlotteschannel
    @BabyCharlotteschannel ปีที่แล้ว

    THAT is the biggest thing I tried teaching people that wanted to learn to wheelie whatever bike they were riding.. funny how many people thought learning how to wheelie on their daily driver street bike was a good idea.. LoL
    Anyway, I learned rear brake control when I was 14 years old on my badass Honda ATC 250r 3 wheeler, broke the wheelie bar off in the process, but got damn good by the time it was about to fall off.. got good going around turns on different dirt bikes, ESP the xr500 i had and the xl600.. then by the time I was on street bikes it was just 2nd nature and I wheelied every bike from gs450, gs1000e, gs1100e, zx10, gsxr1000 and so on..
    Anyway, good lesson, if people practice that for however long needed to get proficient at it then they will have no problem doing them forever with a bit more practice!

    Good video. It took me a day to learn my girl friend how to pull away with a clutch on a 100cc bike Lol. I had a XL 250cc a KLR 250cc and KLR 650cc. Sitting both legs to the left side of my bikes changing gears with my right feet going from 1/2/3/4 gear it’s was not hard for me but I don’t know any one doing it this was in the 1980”s the hardest thing is not to flip it because I could not use the back brake. And I rode a quad on two wheels round and round a football field. Nice to see you having fun.👍🇬🇧

    I've owned so many dirt bikes in my journey to learn wheelies. The TTRR series are by far the best bikes to learn on. I've owned a YZ85, and KX85 2-smoker, but those 2T are facking hard AF to wheelies on. I've even owned a Grom and a Z125. Looking back, the TTR 125 was by far the best bike to learn wheelies on as a beginner. I'll never go back to a Grom or Z125. Now, I've stepped up to YZ 250F and now own a YZ 450F. There is so much power on the YZ 450F that I don't even need to clutch up. I'd just give a little of throttle, and the front wheel comes right up...and it comes up in a gradual manner as opposed to the 2-strokes. Dudes that can wheelie 2T bikes are on another level.

      @@peytonmccosco5712 it's been a year for me. I've learned to clutch-up and get to balance point and ride out for about 20 feet, but have not learn to coast yet, which means I can't shift out of gear when I'm in a wheelie. I could only wheelie in one gear so far (usually 2nd or 3rd gear). Learning to keep the bike at the balance point is hard. I've ate shit a few times on dirt but not on pavement. You have to have patience when learning to wheelie.

    I had pretty good success doing wheelies on a DRZ400, but never really mastered the balance point. They were always acceleration wheelies, and to tell you the truth, I'm lucky I didn't hurt myself, because I was not "covering" the back brake. It was all throttle, and I would go through 2nd, 3rd, and into fourth before coming down. The one time I looped out was at low speed, and I felt when it went back, but the design of the tag holder/fender extender was perfectly designed to scrape before it went too too far. I remember going too far, hearing the scrape, and leaning a little forward which brought it back down. Could have been ugly if it happened at higher speed.
