I adore OOO! YooJung's MV is part one of a two-video series. KB's (the other guy in the MV) MV (Be Free) is part two, where they begin their relationship at long last. :D I love them so much. YooJung is just so beautiful, isn't he? And the courage their group has to explore LGBTQ+ subjects is unreal. It's kind of risky in such a conservative society.
Have you seen the teaser for Junji's too? KB and Yoojung are in the mv. I wonder how their stories unfold and how Junrie's story intertwine with Kyujung's. I'm so excited

I know how overwhelming just reacting to K-pop in general is because their is always something going on and so many groups and they are all so talented. It is hard to keep up with. Thank you so much DG for your reaction and take on this video. OnlyOneOf is one of my favorite groups who are not afraid of tackling taboo topics. Not only that they have some of the best vocals I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. I don't know if any of the members are living the lifestyle of their lyrics and it does not matter to me. It is all about the music and how it makes you feel. I love this song and m/v. I really hope you react to the answering video to this m/v Be Free by KB. This group debut in 2019 and are already well known in the industry with their shock factor with their choro or lyrics and amazing vocals
Didn't see anyone mention it yet but Yoojung is also "only" a subvocalist. His main position is dancing and he is one of the members to take center position during choruses often since his expression are to die for. The fact that this has no choreo in it blew my mind in the best way.

This song actually resonates with me so much because I was in a relationship where I was more of the care free person, whereas my partner at the time wasn’t. I’m glad to see a kpop group/members of the group do this sort of concept.

KB also has his solo which continues from where this ended but from his pov. Junji, the 3rd member, will release his solo soon and KB, Yoojung and Junji's love interest Rie are featured in the mv. It's turning out to be a very interesting storyline
Onlyoneof never fails to make the queers feel represented! This MV made me feel so emotional as a closet person and hearing your beautiful interpretations and words, had my eyes tearing. The music is so pleasing and typical of their style!

You are right, it's such a beautiful song on top of having a very touching MV. Being part of lgbtq+ community it's not too often you come across a song like this that really touches you on a personal level. And I love how OnlyOneOf are expanding and continuing this story with each new solo song - Yoojung's "begin" starting it beautifully, then KB's "be free" telling his side of it and now soon we will have Junji's "be mine", which adds new characters into this story - I'm very excited for it. I hope you get the chance to check them out at some point, tho I do get what you said about being swamped by all the older as well as newer releases piling up 😅

As everyone let you know, KB's side of this same story has been released, and it was presumably all shot at the same time for both videos, because it's the continuation of the storyline. Today's group announcement was the teaser from the next member, Junji, and the teaser hints that all the stories are happening in the same universe and each member's story is being added. Interestingly, when the group released libidO, which has a similar sort of "don't be afraid of you" message, it was a Big Deal in the kpop world. Of course it didn't get as much press for being a fantastic work of musical art as it should have, but it did set the stage for the member combinations -- KB & YooJung, Junji and Rie, and Nine, Love, and Mill. Love has since left the group (sad), and it seems like Nine and Mill will be the last two in the lineup for the solos, which appear to be coming along monthly. The groupings, though, were used to create a mini album, with each group responsible for writing/producing (with help) their own song, and those are splendid listens. Their group content, too, seems to have the sub groups as well as the whole group together. The group's recent comeback, Skinz, was an experimental masterpiece of sound and visuals, imo. Thanks so much for your review, I hope you'll have time in a "how is everyone having comebacks and releases at the same time?!" schedule to view KB's version.

They‘ve been criticized ever since „Libido“ for showing lgbtq storylines and people accusing them of using this for money and attention or whatever which is absolutely ridiculous🙄
I absolutely adore this Mv because it just radiates the innocent crush energy and Yoojung really does a great job with those secretive glances and smiling to himself. It‘s just beautifully and respectfully done🥺

As many already mentioned in the comments, this song is the first act of OnlyOneOf's latest musical project called "undergrOund idOl" : each month, one of the members releases a solo song. Yoojung was the 1st to have his solo with "begin", then KB with "be free". This month, it'll be Junji with "be mine", the teaser has just been released. Then we'll get Rie's solo, then Mill and Nine's. Until now the songs are in continuation, creating a cohesive story about queer relationships.
Your interpretation of the song was really interesting and completely correct. However you're not wrong either when talking about how there might be other interpretations and meanings behind the song, such as the more general idea of accepting who you are. In fact, one of OnlyOneOf songs' characteristics is their openness to various interpretations. They are often full of metaphors, double/triple meanings and references, which lead the listeners to draw numerous hypotheses about their lore. OnlyOneOf's main concept revolves around the themes of "self-discovery/self-exploration/self-acceptance" and "relationship(s)" of all kinds : romantic/sexual relationships, relationship with god/religion, relationship between artist/public or artist/muse, relationship with our inner self ; often exploring the tensions that can exist in these different types of relationships (harmony/chaos, submission/domination, toxic relationships). We can also add the topic of queer relationships to this list, as they have been portraying it even more clearly and regularly ever since their comeback "libidO" in 2020.
Finally, it's great that you also appreciated the music in itself. This is another distinctive mark of OnlyOneOf's music : their sound is often unconventionnal and very rich, with multiple layers and unexpected elements. They work with excellent producers like Nap!er, but the members also occasionally participate in the production, writing and arrangement of the tracks.

@@DGReacts WE FOUND HIM today at early morning a man contacted my dad (from the posts we had made) and sent pics and it was him!! He was in a vineyard (I live in the country side) quite far from my house. He's not in the best condition, a bit skinny and with some injuries (cause he was from fight to fight it seems), but overall ok. I'm so happy!! Also thank you for your concern uwu Lots of love 💕

when i saw the metallic origami i thought of the blade runner movie and the meaning the origami has in that story: of the person given the origami not being real. so it felt to me that yoojung didn't think kb was real or a real possibility to him. but it's probably not that at all.

like in my opinion the song wasn't that good but I really appreciate OnlyOneOf (the group thy're both in) effort to make lgbtq more accepted with their music! like their song libido was revolutionary cuz south korea is very coservative to this day so they're going really risky with those MV! Btw the song called "be free" by the other member KB is better in my opinion and shows the story from his perspective^^ to see both is actually adorable so I'd be happy if u check it out too, even if it's just on ur own^^
