- I've made an updated tutorial on how to make your very own diy dollhouse mattress from simple materials you can find at home. Its super quick , cheap and easy to furnish your dollhouse beds with a realistic 1:12 scale mattress. So grab some kitchen sponges and lets get started. I 'll guide you through the process of creating the mattress from scratch, mentioning measurements for single and double mattresses, talking to you about how to tuft and create realistic piping, so you can make your dream miniature mattress.
If you enjoyed this video let me know by giving the vid a thumbs up! ;)

Great idea, thank you. I made a mattress from bubble wrap, slipped inside a cover and sewn. Dare not tell my daughter what it's made from because she pops it.
Clever! I wish I had thought of this earlier, I've been making two piece "pancake" mattresses. They are for my Calico Critters, so realism isn't completely essential but I'm glad to know this technique. Thanks!
This is so cute! I found your channel on the recommended page and I’ve been really enjoying your videos, since my daughter is currently super into Sylvanian Families (so am I) and I LOVE crafting stuff for her!
Ah that's great I'm planning a few more DIY videos soon. Maybe some Xmas crafts for sylvanians hopefuilly
Gorgeous! Btw, in my experience, real mattresses of that type are joined on the side. Thank you, that's bril! Have a blessed day 💖✝
Excellent video and work is amazing! Can’t wait to do this for my great granddaughter’s dollhouse I’m making for her from one that I’m upcyling and making all of the furniture.
Sounds great. I'm sure she love it
Wow ! Very clever …looks so authentic…
I just found this video and it is AMAZING! I ❤❤❤❤ the French knot! You are right as it is so realistic!!!
Great tutorial and going to try this for my Barbie house.
Amazing! Also, depending on the thickness of the fabric you use, double-sided tape would work really well instead of hot glue when you do the twine/piping edge of the mattress. Then you can hot glue it to the base
There's also fabric glue like FabriTac
I'm making a jewelry box with a lantern. I want to turn it into a mini lux house inside with tufted ceiling and a chandelier
Hi, guys. This is so better! Sponge is more better cardboard box for Barbie doll bed

The new memory foam mattress look quite simple, you can buy a piece of foam that is thin at the fabric store
@@abourg yep Im sure if you go to stores like that they can give you offcuts, scraps for free.
Really nice details.

Nicely done. You have just inspired me to make a padded cell diorama with your technique. Thank you for the inspiration and keep up the good work.
Your welcome. thats such a cool and creepy idea for a miniature. this technique would work for that for sure.
@@TasminBassettArt 100% it will work. The idea is for Halloween decorations. An acrylic box with those mattresses in the 1:12 scale and a Joker figure inside. Simple yet effective.
Once again thx for the inspiration
