GoPro Hero 11 - First Impression on the FPV Drone

- A few days ago, GoPro released its latest camera, the Hero11. Watch me fly it on the fpv drone for the first time in different environments and listen to my first impressions. Stay tuned for a full review about a month from now, where I will involve the GoPro Hero 11 in as many action sports as possible.

I read somewhere that they are going to implement different aspect ratio options in Player in a future update, probably alongside Mini release...

@@jonesaway This was just posted in GoPro FB community. ... "A new build of ReelSteady with aspect ratio support should come out in the next couple of weeks. We are in the middle of beta testing it right now."

Try using gyroflow, it’s free and might help stabilizing in a native aspect ratio

looks so nice. but why are they a "halo"/"glow" around the drones shadow?. ive seen this very often in the past when gopros were used
Hey my friend! It’s not only happening on Cameras! In fact, you can whiteness this effect with your own eyes! Search for „Brocken Spectre“

It really does! Even if you don’t see the difference with your eyes, it definitely plays out when it comes to editing the footage:) I can really remember how frustrating it was when I wasn’t able to recover the shadows!
Did you hook up the Hero 11 to vtx to show up on goggles? If so what vtx and what goggles. Do you see same quality vs recording by cam by it self?

does reelsteady allow for not stretching superview? As in: I think reelsteadys default behaviour is ingesting 4:3 footage and stretching it into 16:9 and then doing the gyro crops.
But I want the hero 11 because of the square sensor so I can export a 16:9 for youtube and 9:16 for reels/tiktok.
If it auto stretches and you can't turn it off then I would get no benefit from the square sensor

GyroFlow is much better than RealSteady… Why not just use GyroFlow?
With GoPro footage I get great results with RS! I use Gyroflow with Sony and love it
does gyroflow give you more field of view?
Hey Jake :) I will test it out later and will let you know how it performed in comparison to Reelsteady! You also inspired me to make a little GP11 x gyroflow video to analyse how it performs.
