Mike, I was very impressed with your grooming skill, and I noted that the dog kept wagging her tail throughout the procedure, so she was obviously pleased. It was a pleasure to watch!
I have been a hairstylist (people) for forty years and a professional dog trainer for 22 years. I was very impressed with his technique and professionalism. Beautyful job.
What a beautiful doggie! Such good manners, calm and cooperative. Very good explanation and camera work, rather excellent! I like the cockrr ear look too. Rubby emailed me that you’re her favorite groomer. Thanks so much!
Beautiful Cockapoo & a wonderful job of grooming her. I have had a couple of bad experiences with so called “groomers” but finally found one who I can trust to the job properly & hand my Cockapoo Paddy back looking great. If I lived closer to you I would have no hesitation in leaving him in your care. Excellent 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
What a gorgeous dog and she's got such a beautiful patience about her!. Love her face..mmm huggable darling 😍😘🐶🐕🐩🐶🐕🐩 Great job by this guy!. Ruby's tail was wagging constantly so she's happy getting her coat cut that's for sure 👍
I am too impress with the techniques and tips from this video. I have be watching a few video as I am playing on starting my own grooming business here in my country and I just want to say I gave learnt so much. Thank you
This dog is so calm....I had a Maltese that was just as calm as the cockapoo in this video. But my baby boy got sick with age and didn’t have the strength to endure the grooming process. ( I mis him everyday....he was perfect and so loyal) . I now have a cockapoo.... and she is just a ball of explosive energy.... she is curious, playful and super brave.... so fearless and lovable. She also does not know how to stand still.... she hates baths . I am so worried about taking her to the groomers bc I’m afraid they might hurt her or bc of her behavior there might be more chances of an accident. This man here looks very knowledgeable.... and gentle.... I wish he was here in NY.
I have a cockapoo much like Ruby in looks. Because of the Covid and a big turnover where I would usually have my dog groomed I've been buying some equipment to groom her myself. I'm waiting for a table (the standard type) to be delivered soon, but I do like that table!! The hair I get off my cockapoo is incredible. My dog is curlier than this one! One thing I missed seeing was how to do the bottom of the paws! That is what I find most difficult, mind you I've been doing it without any restraint on the dog like a neck loop, so she moves about, because she really doesn't like having her feet handled. I hope I'll see you do the between the pads etc on another video!
I wonder where his dog salon is , I havent got a dog yet but thinking of getting one of these mixed breed or hybred as they are also known posting from London ENGLAND
Have to say, I've watched a few clipping videos to help me do my two Cockerpoos and this is definitely the best one. The dog you did was practically the double of my two so it was a big help. Please can you tell me what trimming scissors you used as well, in fact everything you actually used lol. ?
what's the name of that vacuum cleaner system attached to ur table? I'm in the process of buying various items for my salon to be and I've been looking for something like that, but I havent seen that system anywhere in Belgium.
I don't pluck much anymore. I groom my own and have for years and for my current dog he is prone to ear infections. Vet said don't bother to pluck, just clean it up and only pluck a little to get the worst out every now and then. Ear infections stopped.
Forgot to show the most important thing probably because Rubbie wouldn't have been so sweet--cleaning up the paws. you have to take down the hair between the pads and clip the nails which keep growing. Also you didn't show cleaning up the inside of the ears. I don't take or pull the hair out but I do try to clear some of the mess out.
Can imagine he's horrible to a dog who doesn't like being cut! That dogs perfectly behaved but he rarely praises her, he keeps yanking her chin up as tho shes in the show ring and yanks her tail up...that gives some breeds such pain in the spine! He knows what he's doing but clearly not in this business with any love of dogs!
Lynne Marshall There are lots of cuts in this video where he could have been praising the dog, and that dogs tail was wagging for half the video, it never fought with him so the dog clearly liked being groomed. Are you a groomer? If you are then you'd know grooming for these kinds of dogs is necessary and the alternative is much more painful and neglectful for the dog.
YOURGIRLJADE that’s just how grooming is. Not rough at all, she was fine. This is how you’re supposed to hold a dog to make sure they don’t move and get hurt. The way he’s holding her doesn’t hurt.
He's fine. You've never groomed a dog? They don't post on command, lol. You have to push and pull them into position. No worse than playing with them IMHO
I can't believe how calm that dog is. She even looks at times as if she's enjoying the attention.
The prep work done on this dog prior to the groom was so well done.

Such a lovely trim and such a good dog, so pretty. Ruby, you look so huggable now. Thanks for the great video and explanation of the cutting process.

This is the cutest dog ever, so happy and patient
Your voice is very soothing. I respect your calm demeanor & excellent skills. looks like Ruby enjoys your attention too!

Best groming and treatment of the dog combined. I did cringe at the scissor action around the eyes though. Mike Wildman, Expierance speaks. lol

Beautiful work; you are a true artist! Ruby is a lovely cockapoo.
My dog is a cockapoo and the first time he got a hair cut the lady said "I have been working here for 22 years and he was the wildest" lol

She is so beautiful & sweet, she reminds me of my dog Augie but he wouldn’t be as good as a model 😅 Great job!!

I love your grooming technique and kindness to the dog. Grooming style just gorgeous. Where are you located ?
Do you have to pluck the hair in their ears like poodles?
Yes, all dogs with hair needs to have their ears plucked
I don't pluck much anymore. I groom my own and have for years and for my current dog he is prone to ear infections. Vet said don't bother to pluck, just clean it up and only pluck a little to get the worst out every now and then. Ear infections stopped.
Yes pluck the ears it helps the ears breath .

Also you didn't show cleaning up the inside of the ears. I don't take or pull the hair out but I do try to clear some of the mess out.

Poor dog it was being grabbed buy the face most the time
Stephanie Oldman you have to because they will move the face and possibly get cut
I can tell you know nothing about grooming.
Great job, but the photographer sucks! Filming the back of the groomer....?!
It’s like a sheep 🐑
Can imagine he's horrible to a dog who doesn't like being cut! That dogs perfectly behaved but he rarely praises her, he keeps yanking her chin up as tho shes in the show ring and yanks her tail up...that gives some breeds such pain in the spine! I can tell you’ve never groomed a dog.
😂
AqA~
He was very rough in my opinion... look like he was pulling her face and her eyes were bulging
YOURGIRLJADE that’s just how grooming is. Not rough at all, she was fine. This is how you’re supposed to hold a dog to make sure they don’t move and get hurt. The way he’s holding her doesn’t hurt.
I don't like how he's handling this dog. He's too rough.
I don't think he is ruby doesn't mind
He is not hurting the dog thats how you handle it for grooming sorry if u think like that. I love dogs there is nothing wrong with this video
He's fine. You've never groomed a dog? They don't post on command, lol. You have to push and pull them into position. No worse than playing with them IMHO
I prefer a more natural look.
I was not impressed with how he was brushing the dog's ears and face.
Good for you.
