While i dont think Kratos in the og triology was as plain and one dimensional as majority makes him out to be, i still think the direction they had him going was bound to be a failure eventually.
Can only hope they dont flush it down the drain. On another, SEMI positive note: both side, Light and Dark, im sure took heavy losses during Ragnaroc. So niether may be in ANY position to do anything, MARTIAL, in nature for a while.
@@VitaminDealerI think how he talked about the light, how it can’t feed you, play you music etc is a metaphor for being high, because when you are high that’s exactly how it feels, like you need nothing else but this vice to be happy, but the longer you’re sober the more you realise that whilst the high is great, having it in your life can be very destructive, which is why I think it is a metaphor for addiction because the longer he goes without the Light, the more he realises the Light can’t fix his problems, and simply makes the problems seem less important than they truly are
'God of forgiveness hint when he meets his younger self' "Making peace between elves' 'Killing off other gods' Anyone thinks Santa Monica is secretly planning to change Kratos into Jehovah?
Unlikely. That would cause an uproar among abrahamic fundamentalists (who unfortunately make up a statistically significant proportion of the US population). As good as the idea might be, there is just too much risk due to the developers' local demographic.
I mean, this universe has been functioning primarily with polytheistic faiths coexisting. Abrahamic faiths don't play well with others, not even each other. "God of Forgiveness" doesn't describe Jehovah (Yeshua, Yahweh). He doesn't do much forgiving, but Jesus does. Many Christian tend to believe that these two figures are in some way merged or the same being, part of the Holy Trinity. A complicated subject not fully explained in any of their sacred texts but decided upon by the Council of Nicea long ago. Technically, the father is not the son, who is not the holy spirit, who is not the father, but all three are god. This doesn't follow logically but it isn't a matter of logic, it is one of culture and faith. It would be interesting, but even more of a slap in the face of pagans to say that the peak or even purpose of their faith system is to become the one that brutally exterminated theirs. I for one don't see any good reason to involve Christianity in this setting, it would just insult Christians, pagans, and everyone else with any religious stake in the matter.

That last part where the dark elf wraps her wings over her lover because he’s cold….that was precious
Sometimes, it's the little things.
I wonder if Light Elves learned to fly with magic because they were jealous of the Dark Elves' wings?
„Thank you Kratos“
Man, i love how Kratos character development is going. Santa Monica, if anything id like to say bravo for that. What a masterpiece
Funny that Kratos' creator said he doesnt like the direction he's headed
@@undeadinside3571 if he hates it that much he shouldve stayed and not left the studio

Kratos the god of hope: The world must learn our peaceful ways BY FORCE
Some of the most peaceful eras in human civilization happened under the watchful eye, and strong arm, of powerful empires.
You cannot know peace without violence

God damn, I gotta play this game again!
Peace isn’t endless, peace is finite
You wish to have 0 peace than at least an amount of it?
Only a warmonger cannnot imagine peace everlasting.

Is the light a metaphor for addiction?
I think you're looking too far into it
Edit: Yeah, I redid some stuff, and yeah, I agree now
@VitaminDealer no I think he's pretty close I mean the light and dark elves fight over it all the time

No
But I heard that someone/somewhere did mentioned about Kratos being "one of the wise men" or something
Yeeeeah, that would be too much a risk given how viciously protective Christians can be. Especially in the USA!

The land of palestine was united before the creation of israel; christians, jews and muslims all living together harmoniously
